If the slump flow is less than 500 mm 20 in. follow the fabricationprocedures described in the

United States15. Apparatus5.1 Specimen ContainerMolds, measures, measuring bowls, and containers used for fabricati
16、ng test specimens according tothis practice shall conform to the requirements described in the standard for which the test specimen is required.5.2 Sample ReceptacleA pan or wheelbarrow that is water-tight, has a nonabsorbent surface, and is large enough to retain avolume of concrete sufficient to f
17、ill all necessary specimen containers.5.3 Pouring Vessel for SCCA water-tight container having a size large enough so each amount of concrete obtained from thesampling receptacle is representative and small enough so concrete is not spilled during placement in the specimen container.NOTE 1A pouring
18、vessel with a pouring lip is useful in reducing the probability of concrete spilling while filling the specimen container.5.4 Small ToolsItems such as shovels and scoops capable of remixing the concrete in the sample receptacle, filling the pouringvessel, or both.6. Sampling Concrete6.1 The sample o
19、f concrete from which test specimens are to be fabricated shall be representative of the entire batch. The sampleshall be obtained in accordance with Practice C172 or Practice C192/C192M.7. Procedure7.1 Measure and record the slump flow of the sampled concrete in accordance with Test Method C1611/C1
20、611M. For concretewith a slump flow of 500 mm 20 in. or greater, fabricate test specimens as follows.7.2 Identify, position, and prepare the specimen container, and any related equipment, as described in the practice or test methodfor which the test specimen is required.7.3 Fill the pouring vessel w
21、ith a representative portion of SCC from the sample receptacle, either by passing the pouring vesselthrough the SCC or by scooping concrete into the vessel.7.4 Fill the specimen container with SCC by tilting and then moving the pouring vessel around the perimeter of the containerto allow the SCC to
22、flow into the container and to ensure an even distribution of concrete.7.5 During the filling process, position the lowest point on the rim of the pouring vessel no more than 125 mm 5 in. abovethe top of the container. If necessary, repeat the procedures in 7.3 and 7.4, without rodding the concrete
23、or tapping the sides ofthe specimen container, until the container is overfilled slightly above its rim.7.6 After filling, follow all subsequent specimen fabrication and testing procedures as specified in the practice or test methodfor which the test specimen is required.8.
