If the fineness modulus of the aggregate differs bymore than 7 % from that of the sample submitted for accep-tance, the aggregate is subject to rejection,
17、 unless the supplierdemonstrates that it will produce concrete of the requiredcharacteristics.4.3 Loose Bulk Density (Test Method C29/C29M)The dryloose bulk density of lightweight aggregates shall conform tothe requirements shown in Table 2.4.3.1 Uniformity of Loose Bulk DensityThe dry loosebulk den
18、sity of successive shipments of lightweight aggregatesshall not differ by more than 10 % from that of the samplesubmitted for acceptance.5. Sampling and Testing for Aggregate Properties5.1 Sample lightweight aggregates and determine the prop-erties enumerated in this specification in accordance with

The dimen-sions of the specimens shall be as required for the testingequipment available. Report the det
31、ails of the composition andfabrication procedure used in preparing the specimens.7. Rejection and Rehearing7.1 Material that fails to conform to the requirements of thisspecification is subject to rejection. Rejection shall be reportedto the producer or supplier promptly and in writing. In case ofdi
32、ssatisfaction with the result of the test, the producer orsupplier shall make claim for a rehearing.7.2 The purchaser of materials covered by this specificationshall have the option of evaluating these materials for rejectionby either minimum mass or approximate volume as stated.7.3 Individual packa
33、ges are subject to rejection when:7.3.1 The contents, on a mass basis, are 5 % less than thatindicated on the package, or7.3.2 The contents, on a volume basis, are 10 % less thanthat indicated on the package.7.4 The entire shipment is subject to rejection.7.4.1 On a mass basis when the average conte
34、nts of twopackages for each 100, but not less than 6 packages selected atrandom, in any one shipment, are less than that indicated on thepackage.7.4.2 On a volume basis when the average contents of twopackages for each 100, but not less than 6 packages selected atrandom, in any one shipment differ b
35、y more than 5 % from thatindicated on the package.7.5 The net mass of the contents shall be determined byweighing the package or packages and deducting the mass ofthe container.7.6 The bulk volume of the contents in a package shall becalculated by determining the mass of the contents of thepackage a
36、nd dividing by the bulk density of the aggregate. Thebulk density of the aggregate shall be determined in accordancewith the shoveling procedure given in Test Method C29/C29Musing material from one or more of the packages selected in7.4.2.8. Certification8.1 When specified in the purchase order or c
37、ontract, aproducers or suppliers certification shall be furnished to thepurchaser that the material was manufactured, sampled, tested,and inspected in accordance with this specification and hasbeen found to meet the requirements. When specified in thepurchase order or contract, a report of the test

Packaging and Package Marking9.1 When lightweight aggregates covered by this specifica-tion are delivered in packages, the name of the manufacturer,type of aggregate, and minimum mass and approximate vol-ume of the contents shall be plainly indicated thereon.10.
