8、c. 1 【正确答案】 Is It Wise to Seek Cosmetic Surgery? In recent years, turning on the television and browsing through newspapers, we can see numerous cosmetic surgery advertisements. With the influence of these advertisements and the change of notion, an increasing number of Chinese people have undergone

9、 cosmetic surgery. Many people believe that cosmetic surgery can beautify their appearance and bring lots of benefits. However, in my view, it is unwise to take cosmetic surgery due to its great risks, bad psychological effects and heavy economic burden. To begin with, cosmetic surgery means unexpec

10、ted surgical risks for those aiming to be more artificially beautiful. Even though nowadays the medical technology has improved by leaps and bounds, and doctors often ensure that they will minimize the medical risks during the operation, many cosmetic surgery accidents frequently happen every year.

11、For example, Wang Bei, a former contestant of “Super Girl“, died on the operation table owing to suffocation during the cosmetic surgery. Sadly, stories like Wang Beis are growing. Some may argue that these extreme examples are rarely seen after all. However, in addition to life risk, cosmetic surge

Another reason why I am against it is that it has bad effect on the customers psychological health. It has been observed mat many individuals undergoing cosme

In this case, due to the limitations of modern cosmetic surgery technology, repetitive operation will finally result in ugliness rather

Aside from the aforementioned side-effects, the financial burden should be taken into serious consideration. Cosmetic surge

I think that people might as well choose to spend such a great amount of money on other aspects such as workout to make themselves more physically attractive rather than on the so-called unnatural beauty. To su

We should place the inner-heart beauty and health first which are essentially more important man the operation-forged physical beauty. Those to take such a kind of dangerous and unnecessary

It is reported that China is considering making a law that requires the adult children to visit their aged parents regularly in order to make the elderly parents feel warm at heart and promote the

18、traditional Chinese virtue of filial piety. In my opinion, to formulate such a law is neither suitable nor effective. In the first place, “filial piety“ is a moral obligation which cant be enforced by law. Whether the adult children should be filial to the parents or not can only be discussed in the

19、 moral dimension, not the legal one. To legislate morality is not a good method to solve the widespread “empty nest elderly“ problem in China. We should encourage citizens to visit their aged parents as frequently as possible, not through legal enforcement. In the second place, we will encounter man

20、y difficulties or dilemmas in the process of formulating such a law. It is very hard to define “visit their aged parents regularly.“ How regularly is regularly? Once a week, a month, a quarter or a year? And it is also difficult to define “aged parents“ accurately. It is obvious that if the law-make

21、rs define them too broadly and casually, the law will result in ineffectiveness because the unfilial children will probably take advantage of a legal loophole. And when the parents and their children really engage in a lawsuit and even finally the parents win the lawsuit, will the parent-child love

22、still exist between them? If the children are forced to pay a regular visit to their parents, I am afraid that such a kind of “visit“ is completely unmeaningful and even satirical. In the third place, the law-makers should consider the reality that many adult children have little opportunity to visi

To be filial to the parents is the traditional Chinese virtue which is still advocated and fulfilled by most Chinese people, especially the financially disadvantaged migrant workers, who are most willing to visit their parents frequently, b

It is unwise and unreasonable to force the adult children to visit their parents regularly at the cost of losing their jobs, which will only lead to the deterioration of the lives of both the parents and their children. Admittedly, the growing number of elderly peo

Such enforced visits would be not only pointless but downright uncomfortable for both parties. 【知识模块】 作文 3 【正确答案】

26、Saving Languages and Dialects There are numerous benefits to popularize a common language in a society, especially in countries with different ethnic groups. A common language makes it easy for people from different nationalities to communicate with each other. For instance, the spread of Putonghua

27、has contributed much to the construction and modernization of China. However, the popularization of a common language has greatly reduced the number of people speaking different languages or dialects. Many of them are even in danger of dying out since few people are still using them. It is high time

28、 for the government to do something to help save these languages and dialects. Then, why should we try to save these languages and dialects? For one thing, the extinguishing of a language or dialect always means the forever loss of a history and culture of a certain group of people. We all know that

29、 there were once many great civilizations in ancient times, and they have left some magnificent cultural relics to human beings today. However, since their languages have already died out in history, their customs, culture, and history are hidden in oblivion. For another, a language or dialect, as t

What can we do to help save those endangered languages and dialects? Firstly, the government must invest in

Secondly, as what the Israeli government has done, people from the same ethnic group should be encourage

It is a pity that many traditional Chinese art forms, which were once very popular and prosperous, are dying out. We think it urgent for us to do s

35、omething to help maintain them, and public funds are especially suitable for this purpose. Why should we maintain traditional Chinese art forms? First, traditional art forms are a reminder of our history. For instance, when we appreciate the writing works by our ancestors, we are not only impressed

36、by their beauty but also communicating with the distant past. If we practice Chinese calligraphy, we are not just imitating but are immersed in the long history and are bridging the past with the present as well. Second, most traditional Chinese art forms, though less popular now, still glare with b

Last but not least, traditional Chinese art forms, as a conveyor of our traditional culture, are extremely important for our cultural uniqueness. These art forms, such as weiqi, calligraphy, painting, martial arts, opera, etc., are a refl

Then, if it is so important to preserve these traditional Chinese art forms, why have many of them fallen into

39、 decline? Many factors have led to this unfortunate situation. First, technological development has made the practical functions of many traditional art forms useless. For example, people now practice the martial arts only for the purpose of keeping healthy or performing, not for guarding against en

Furthermore, the impact of foreign cultures and their art forms with the speeding globalization process has resulted in a wider range of choices for people to kill their leisure time. For example, many young people practice playing the piano instead of traditional Chinese musical ins

These funds can be used first to provide relevant courses in schools to arouse students interest and to teach them related basic skills. They can also be used to set awards or ensure career success for those who are excellent in these forms. If enough funds are set to the education and spreading of traditional Chinese arts, it can be sure they will remain active and energetic in the modern age. 【知识模块】 作文
