The first diagram vividly reveals the basic four stage
6、s of the life of a silkworm. First of all, eggs are laid by moths, and after ten days each egg grows up into a silkworm larva that feeds on mulberry leaves. This stage lasts for up to six weeks until the larva starts to weave (spin) a cocoon of silk thread around itself. After a period of about thre
7、e weeks, the fully-developed moths eventually break out of the cocoon, which also means the beginning of a new life cycle. Cocoons are the raw material for the production of silk cloth. However, not all cocoons are qualified to make silk cloth, so they are selected first. Then, these cocoons are boi

Finally, the twisted threads are woven before being dyed or dyed directly. Overall, the two diagrams present the life journey of a silkworm and the

Finally, the cement is packed up in bags. Compared with the making process of cement, the production of concrete is relatively

Overall, these two diag

Europe, with the highest overall percentage of land degraded (23%), also suffered from over-cultivation (7.7%) and over-grazing (5.5%). In contrast, Oceania

North America had a lower proportion of degraded land at only 5%, and the main causes of this were over-cultivation (3.3%) and, to a lesser extent, overgrazing (1.5%). Overall, it is clear that Europe suffered more from fa

In the second table, it is Switzerland which stands out as buying far more Fairtrade bananas than the other four countries. Swiss sales figures jumped from 15 47 million euros across these five years, while in
19、 the UK and Belgium sales only grew form 1-5.5 and from 0.6-4 million euros respectively. Sweden and Denmark showed a different pattern, with falls in banana sales from 1.8-1 and 2-0.9 million euros. Comparing the two tables, it is clear that in 1999 Fairtrade coffee sales ranged from 0.8-3 million

By 2004, sales figures for both products had risen across the board, except for Sweden and Denmark which recorded drops in banana sales. 【知识模块】 小作文(看图作文)
