Ive been there for just over six years. Whilst I was at uni

7、versity, studying journalism, a professor recommended me to an editor at the China Daily. I went for a series of interviews and aptitude tests and was eventually offered a job as a trainee. After six months, I was promoted and given a position in the sports department. I work full-time. The China Da

8、ily, like most newspapers in China, doesnt employ many part-time journalists. Very. Almost every weekend, I cover a major sporting event and during the week I usually interview sportsmen and sportswomen or other people connected with sport in some way, such as trainers and officials. Im planning to

9、take some time off from my job to get some further education in the UK. Then, I intend to continue with my current job. Id like to continue being a journalist for the next several years, but eventually Id like to become the editor of the sports section obviously after the current editor has left or

10、retired! Visitors to your hometown Two things that certainly need to be improved are the level of cleanliness and the level of pollution. A lot of tourists complain about these things and most residents would probably agree with them. It is not a good advertisement for our city or indeed our country

11、. I think that almost all foreign visitors come by plane, because using any other form of transport would take too long. People coming from other parts of China arrive by plane, train or bus. Those that come by plane are usually wealthier. As Im sure you know, there are plenty of sights in Beijing t

12、he Forbidden City, the Summer Palace and the Temple of Heaven to name but a few. As well as seeing the sights, visitors go shopping. I get up at six thirty and get ready to go to work. I leave home at about quarter to eight and get into

16、the office at just after eight thirty. I have lunch just before midday and finish work at between five and six, depending on how much work I have and how quickly I get through it. In the evenings, I might go out with friends or colleagues or I might have a quiet evening at home. First, I see which w

17、ork has to be done most urgently. Second, I consider how long it will probably take to complete each assignment. Then I see if I have any appointments. Then, I put these things together and create a rough timetable in my mind. I tend to do this on a weekly basis rather than a daily one if possible.

As a journalist, I believe that it is one of my responsibilities to expose such people. To be honest, n

Although there are many people trying to achieve these goals, the amount of competition is not very high because a lot of people are not talented enough to reach high levels of achievement. Its not necessarily their fault. They are not provided with quality education. Thats one reason why

Many Chinese people would answer that the most ambitious people are the ones who are most likely to succeed. I disagree. Having ambition is part of it, but I th

28、ink that the ones who are most likely to succeed are the ones who are able to think creatively rather than just following everyone else. If you simply follow someone else, it stands to reason that you will always be behind. Successful people are also prepared to take risks and expend time and money on their projects.
