Its quite an old building, so recently my father had it renovated.

7、Now, it looks really nice. I live there with my parents. I have two older siblings, but they dont live at home now. As its quite a large house, theres plenty of room for the three of us. My older brother and sister have left some of their things in one of the rooms. All my life. My parents got the h

8、ouse when they married. I dont think that I will stay there for much longer though. I intend to study abroad and then get a job, possibly in Rome, possibly in another city. I love living there. Its in the countryside, so the air is fresh and the landscape is beautiful. Its close enough to the city t

9、o go there for a day you know, if I want to buy something or meet people there. The only disadvantage is that I have to stay with a friend overnight if we go out in the evening. Theres no way to get back to my home after about 8 in the evening. Ambitions My ambition in life is to become a surgeon. M

10、y parents have always been keen for me to study medicine. At first, I wasnt really interested in it, but later maybe they convinced me. To be honest, the main reason I would like to do this job is that it should give me the chance to make a fair amount of money. Then I could retire early to the coun

11、tryside. I think so. Im getting very good grades at school and Ive been provisionally accepted to Rome University, starting in September. It will certainly be very challenging, but I dont mind that. I know that I will have to study for several years, but it will be worth it. I dont think that Im ver

12、y ambitious, but I am a little. I want to be successful. I want to be fairly rich. I dont need millions of dollars, but I want to have a comfortable life. Im not ambitious in other aspects of my life, like sports. My family members are definitely ambitious. My parents want to achieve more in their l

13、ives and my siblings have both begun what we hope will be successful careers. My friends are also quite ambitious. They, like me, have big plans for their future careers. I think that my most ambitious friend is Antonio. He likes girls, but hes not so handsome or good at talking to them. We call him

14、 the most ambitious Romeo! He often tries to meet girls, but never seems to succeed. Places of interest Theres so much! Italy is famous for its historical sights, particularly from Roman times. Of course, I would recommend Rome, but not only because I am near from there. Almost every one of the old

15、streets is worth visiting for its historical value. If you go there, dont just go the famous sights. Take awalk around the back streets. Of course, another place to go is Venice. One place that I particularly like to go to in the spring or autumn is Lake Garda in the north of Italy. Theres the lake,

16、 mountains and forests. Its idyllic. Yes, I do. As I said, I go to Rome quite often to meet friends. We walk around, stopping here and there for a coffee or a glass of freshly squeezed juice. I go to Lake Garda at least once a year. My parents know someone there and we stay with them. Then they come

17、 to visit us once a year for their holiday. We usually sit outside and sip wine and eat snacks or go for a walk. I like visiting places of natural beauty most. I like old buildings too, but nature is so much better than anything man-made, if you ask me. I like anywhere with fine views of the surroun

18、ding countryside. Yes, I do. I have a big collection of photographs several hundred at least. Nowadays, its so easy with digital cameras. I take a camera with me every time I visit a place or when I go to see friends. I love going through my photographs occasionally to remind myself of the places I

On the other hand, I wouldnt want to be too close to my parents or my wifes parents. They might try to take over your lives and tell you how to raise your kids and the life. I think t

27、hat families will get smaller and this will focus more attention on the child or children. This might be a good thing, because the parents should have more time and money for each child, but it could also be a bad thing if the child becomes spoilt. I think that in the future it will also become more

28、 common for family members to live in different parts of a country or even in different countries, Its not unusual today, but its not the norm. That will probably change. Good parents should take the time to get to know their children. They should be able to explain to them why something is right or

29、 wrong, not just tell them in a few simple words. They should also be good at keeping their children active. Children get bored very quickly, so they need to go out and see and do things like go to museums, amusement parks, zoos and spotting events. I think I will try to give my kids a little more f

30、reedom. My parents are a little imposing. They are not as bad as some other parents I have met, but sometimes I wish that they wouldnt try to control what I do so much. Their argument is that Im living in their house, but I think thats a weak argument. Anyway, VII be leaving home to go to university soon.
