、 as another bedroom. I suppose that the best thing about it is the garden, which is small but great now in the summer, I meanbecause we can have some friends over and enjoy a barbecue. The area is great. Its mainly residential, but there are plenty of small shops and a couple of large supermarkets w

、ithin walking distance. Theres a park about 20 minutes walk away. It has a pond and plenty of trees with benches underneath. Its lovely to go there on a warm, sunny day and read a book or watch the ducks on the pond. Definitely. Its especially good for families with kid, if you ask me. Theres a prim

、ary school nearby and a secondary school a short bus ride away. The public transport is quite good there are three bus routes nearby. Its a quiet area, without much traffic. Sports The most popular sports in my country are football, skiing and ice hockey. Its pretty cold in winter and we have many m

、ountains, so winter sports are very common. During the summer, its not too hot so football is often played. Other sports, such as mountain climbing and skating are becoming increasingly popular. I like watching skiing and football. The skiers have to be very skilful to go down the mountain slopes at

、 high speeds without falling. They are very athletic. I watch football on TV, but I dont often go to see a match live at a stadium. The tickets are quite expensive and the seats are often far fxom the pitch, so you actually get a better view on TV. I used to play sports regularly with friends, but n

、owadays I play far less than I used to. I occasionally play a game of squash with a colleague from work, but hes much better than me, so it isnt much fun. In the summer, I might have a game of football with friends in a park near our homes and if I go to the beach on holiday, I like to get involved

、in a game of beach volleyball. I suppose that I mainly play sports to relax and be with my friends. Playing sports also keeps me fit, but thats not why I play them. 16、elderly people, A lot of teenagers have them, too. People use them for business as well as for personal reasons. They are certainly very useful items. Well, having a mobile allows you to contact people at any time. This is particularly useful in business. Businesspeople often travel or at least have

、 to go to different offices in a city, so being able to contact them on the move is very useful. As I mentioned before, it can also be extremely useful to be able to contact someone ifyou are going to a new place. It stops you getting lost and being late as a result. Certainly. I went to the cinema

、yesterday and was very annoyed when someones mobile rang during the film. Its so rode. I mean, most mobiles have a vibrate feature, so that you dont advertise the fact that someone is calling you or sending you a message. Aside from cinemas, mobiles should be barred from classrooms, lecture theatres

、 already, I went to the cinema yesterday to see a film. It was a sci-fi film called “Starworld“. My friends told me that it is a great film, but to be honest, I didnt like it too much. It was OK but nothing special. The plot was fairly basic humans had to defend themselves against some aliens. Then

、there were some good aliens that came to help the humans to victory. The special effects were very good, but the quality of the acting was quite poor. The characters were very superficial and clich. There was the handsome hero and the beautiful girl that he had to save. He had his helpers a tough gu

I dont know why he agreed to direct this film perhaps he needs some money! 3 【正确答案】 Obviously, sci-fi films, horror films and fant

、asy films are not meant to be very realistic. However, they sometimes relate to the real world in some way. For example, the Lord of the Rings is partly about the rise of industrialisation and the threat that this brings to peaceful rural life. Other films are more realistic, and some films, such as

、 Erin Brockovich, are actually based on tree stories. The problem for film makers is that real life is not always exciting enough or suitable for being made into a film. Yes, I think that they do. I think its normal for tastes to change to a certain extent as you get older because you see more films

、ines and character development. A good film has several elements. First of all, it needs a good plot. If the basic story isnt interesting, then people wont watch it. Secondly, the actors need to be good. Having famous actors in a film is not necessary, but it certainly helps because people know that

、 a top actor is unlikely to associate himself or herself with a poor quality film. I think that another element of a good film is that the music intensifies the mood. I think a good actor or actress needs to be able to play a variety of different roles rather than just be good at one type. They also need to be able to convey feelings with their body language and facial expressions. A good actor or actress is also able to help supporting actors or actresses contribute to the film rather than making the film all about one person.
