11、the test for organic impurities maybe used provided that, when tested for the effect of organicimpurities on strength in accordance with Test Method C87,the relative strength at 7 days is not less than 95 %.5. 15、e with the grading of a sampling complying with thelimitations set forth in Section 6, not greater than 20 % whensodium sulfate is used, or 15 % when magnesium sulfate isused.5.1.2 Aggregates failing to meet the requirements of 5.1.1shall be accepted, provided there is evidence that plasters ofcompa

16、rable properties made from similar aggregates from thesame source has been exposed to weathering, similar to that tobe encountered, for a period of more than 5 years withoutappreciable disintegration.6. 19、eness modulus shall fall between 2.05 and 3.05.If the fineness modulus varies by more than 0.25 from thevalue assumed in selecting proportions for the plaster, theaggregate shall be rejected unless adjustments are made inproportions to compensate for change in grading.NOTE 1The gradation of aggregat

20、e used in portland cement-basedplaster affects the workability, shrinkage characteristic porosity, anddurability of the plaster.6.1.3 Aggregate failing to meet only the gradation limits ofthis specification shall be permitted to be used, provided thesupplier furnishes satisfactory documentation to t

21、he specifierthat the plaster made with the aggregate has an acceptabledemonstrated performance record.6.2 Aggregate for Finish Coat Plaster Aggregate forfinish coat plaster shall all pass the No. 8 (2.36 mm) sieve andmeet the remaining gradation requirements of 6.1, exceptwhere special texture finis

22、hes require gradation of aggregateoutside of these limits.6.2.1 When special texture finishes require gradation of theaggregate outside of the limits of 6.1, sample panels shall berequired and evaluated in accordance with criteria defined inthe purchase agreement.NOTE 2Special texture finishes may r

23、equire modification of theplaster formulation and application to compensate for the effect ofaggregate gradation.7. Sampling and Testing7.1 The aggregate shall be sampled and tested as specifiedin the following methods, except as otherwise specified in thisspecification:7.1.1 Sampling, Practice D75.

24、7.1.2 Fineness Modulus, Terminology C 125, is obtained byadding the total percentages shown by the sieve analysis to beretained on each of the sieves in 6.1, except the No. 200 (75m) sieve, and dividing the sum by 100.7.1.3 Materials Finer than No. 200 (75-m) Sieve, TestMethod C117by washing.7.1.4 F

Inspection8.1 Inspection of the material shall be agreed upon betweenthe purchaser and supplier as par

Rejection and Rehearing9.1 Any rejection shall be based upon the specific cause offailure to conform to the requirements of this specification, andshall be reported to the seller within ten working days from thereceipt of the shipment by the purchaser.9.2 Claims for reh

27、earing shall be valid only if made within20 working days from receipt of notice of specific cause forrejection.10. Certification10.1 When specified in the purchase order a producers orsuppliers certification shall be furnished to the purchaser thatthe material was prepared or manufactured in accorda

28、nce withthis specification and has been found to meet the specifiedrequirements.11. Packaging and Package Marking11.1 Where packaged, the materials shall be packaged insubstantial commercial containers of the type, size, and kindcommonly used for the purpose, so constructed as to preservethe content

29、s in good condition, and to ensure acceptance andsafe delivery by common or other carriers, at the lowest rate, tothe point of delivery.11.2 The containers shall be so made that the contents canbe partially removed without destroying the containers abilityto serve as a receptacle for the remainder o

30、f the contents.11.3 The containers shall be labeled to show the content,weight, and the name of the manufacturer or supplier.11.4 Where delivered in bulk quantities, the bill of ladingshall show the quantity by weight, or cubic yards, and the nameof the manufacturer or supplier.11.5 Each package or

31、container shall be marked with thename of manufacturer, description of contents, and amount.12.
