Summary of Test Method4.1 Specimens are laundered in laboratory equipment at alow liquor-to-goods ratio under conditions of temperature, bleaching, and abrasive action that produce the effect ofrepeated launderings in a conveniently short time. The zipperc

The effects of the test onzipper coating are evaluated by noting the loss of coating onthe zipper chain or components, or both.5. Significance and Use5.1 Test Method D 2051 is useful for testing to determinethe
9、 effect of repeated laundering on the appearance of thedecorative coating of a zipper.5.2 This test method is considered satisfactory for accep-tance testing of commercial shipments because the method hasbeen used extensively in the trade for acceptance testing.5.2.1 If there are differences of prac

As a minimum, the test samples should be used thatare as homogeneous as possible, that a

Other materials with established testvalues may be used for this purpose. The test results from thetwo laboratories should be compared using a

If a bias is found, either its cause must be found andcorrected, or future test results must be adjusted in consider-ation of the known bias.5.3 The test method(s) in the standard along with those inTest Met

Consider individual containers from each shippingcarton to be the primary sampling units.NOTE 1An adequate specification or other agreement between thepurchaser and supplier requires taking into account the variability between

Test Specimen7.1 The test specimen shall consist either of a completelyassembled zipper or a length of chain. In either case, the lengthshall not be greater than 254 mm (10 in.). In
22、 the case of acompletely assembled zipper that is longer than 254 mm, thespecimen may be made up by cutting out and removing thecentral portion of the chain, and then securely attaching the cutends together, using suitable noncorrosive materials such assewing thread or stainless steel staples. If it
