Duplicates that agree within 0.07 ppm absoluteare acceptable for averaging (95 % confidence level).5.1.5.2 Precision5The precision statements are basedupon an interlaboratory study in which one operator in eightdiff

17、erent laboratories analyzed two samples of acetic acid induplicate on two different days. The results were treated inaccordance with Practice E180. The within-laboratory coeffi-cient of variation was 3.05 % with 14 df and the between-laboratory coefficient of variation was 6.00 % with 6 df. Basedupo

18、n these coefficients of variation, the following criteriashould be used for judging the acceptability of results at the95 % confidence level.5.1.5.3 RepeatabilityTwo results, each the mean ofduplicates, obtained by the same operator on different daysshould be considered suspect if they differ by mor

19、e than 9.2 %relative.5.1.5.4 ReproducibilityTwo results, each the mean ofduplicates, obtained by operators in different laboratoriesshould be considered suspect if they differ by more than 20.6 %relative.5.1.5.5 BiasBias cannot be determined for this specifica-tion because there is no available mate

20、rial having an acceptedreference value.5.1.6 AcetaldehydeTest Method D2191, using 100 mL ofsodium bisulfite and a 25-mL specimen.5.1.6.1 ReportReport the acetaldehyde content to thenearest 0.001 %. Duplicates that agree within 0.007 % absoluteare acceptable for averaging (95 % confidence level).5.1.

21、6.2 PrecisionThe precision statements are based uponan interlaboratory study in which one operator in eight differentlaboratories analyzed two samples of acetic acid in duplicateon 2 different days. The results were treated in accordance withPractice E180. The within-laboratory standard deviation wa

22、s f0.0055 with 14 df, and the between-laboratory standard devia-tion was 0.0094 with 6 df. Based upon these standarddeviations, the following criteria should be used for judging theacceptability of results at the 95 % confidence level.5.1.6.3 RepeatabilityTwo results, each of the mean ofduplicates,

23、obtained by the same operator on different daysshould be considered suspect if they differ by more than0.017 % absolute.5.1.6.4 ReproducibilityTwo results, each the mean ofduplicates, obtained by operators in different laboratoriesshould be considered suspect if they differ by more than0.032 % absol

24、ute.5.1.6.5 BiasBias cannot be determined for this specifica-tion because there is no available material having an acceptedreference value.5.1.7 Formic AcidTest Method D3546 uses formic acid asa calibration standard. The test method measures all reducingacids as formic acid.6. Packaging and Package

25、Marking6.1 Package size shall be agreed upon between the pur-chaser and the supplier.6.2 Packaging shall conform to applicable carrier rules andregulations or when specified shall conform to Fed.
