9、. Significance and Use4.1 This practice provides a guide whereby all pertinentvariables relating to the ultraviolet cure of a coating aredescribed.5. Procedure5.1 Apply the coating to be cured to the desired substrate ata film thickness typical to that normally used. After approxi-mately the time de
10、lay encountered in production pass thecoated substrate through the curing equipment and subse-quently test for cure, as defined in 3.1.1, using the appropriatemethods listed in 5.1.1 through 5.1.11. 11、od D 2794.5.1.2 Film HardnessTest Method D 3363.5.1.3 Solvent Rub TestHold a pad of cheesecloth or othercloth saturated with an agreed-upon solvent, usually methylethyl ketone, over two adjacent fingers using a protectivecovering. Rub the wet pad back and forth across a 100-mmportion of the cured fi
12、lm using vigorous pressure, one forwardand one backward movement constituting one double rub. Takethe end point as the number of double rubs required to softenor penetrate the film. Fully cured films are normally required toresist a specified number of rubs and the result of the test isgiven as exce
