Scope*1.1 This specification covers requirements for biaxiallyoriented polyethylene terephthalate film and sheeting in thick-nesses from 1.5 m (0.0

For thisspecification, polyethylene terephthalate film and sheetingshall be defined as the material derived from terephthalic acidand ethylene glycol and shall consist of at least 90 % polyeth-ylene terephthalate homopolymer. This specification does notapply to coated, co

Ordering Information4.1 Product shall be specified based on the appropriateproperties from Table 1 and include the following informationin the purchase contract:4.1.1 Title, number, and dat

General Requirements5.1 The nominal thickness, width, and roll length includingallowable splices per roll shall be establishe
19、d by mutualagreement between the purchaser and the seller.5.2 Typical properties are shown in Table 1. Specification ofproperties shall be by agreement between the purchaser and theseller.6. Detail Requirements6.1 FormThe film or sheeting shall be furnished flat or inrolls in the dimensions specifie
20、d.6.2 ThicknessThe thickness shall be within 618 % ofnominal for film 19 m (0.75 mil) or under and within 614 %of nominal for film or sheeting over 19 m. Thickness shall betested in accordance with Test Methods D5947 or GuideD6988, depending on the thickness.6.3 WidthThe width shall be within 61.6 m
21、m (116 in.) ofwidth ordered on rolls or flat sheets up to 1 m (40 in.) wide andwithin 63.2 mm (18 in.) on rolls or sheets over 1 m wide.6.4 WeightThe weight shall be within 610 % of weightordered for orders up to 1100 kg (2500 lb) and within 65 % fororders over 1100 kg.6.5 WorkmanshipQuality of film
