ASTM D5105-2005 Standard Practice for Performing Accelerated Outdoor Weathering of Pressure-Sensitive Tapes Using Concentrated Natural Sunlight《用浓聚的自然光进行压敏带的加速室外老化的标准实施规程》.pdf

1、Designation: D 5105 05Standard Practice forPerforming Accelerated Outdoor Weathering of Pressure-Sensitive Tapes Using Concentrated Natural Sunlight1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D 5105; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or,

2、 in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval. This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the Department of Defense.1. Scope1.

3、1 This practice covers one procedure for the exposure ofpressure-sensitive tapes to an accelerated outdoor weatheringenvironment.1.2 This practice describes sample preparation and an ac-celerated outdoor environment to which it shall be exposed. Itdoes not specify what observations or tests are to b

The values given in parentheses are forinformation only.1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is therespon

Summary of Practice3.1 The pressure-sensitive tapes are exposed to concentratedsolar radiation in accordance with the conditions provided bythe apparatus described in Practice G90, using spray Cycle 3.Following this exposure, the specimen is ready for anyprescribed

8、 examination of appearance and physical character-istics by other standards as determined by the applicablematerial specification or other documents.4. Significance and Use4.1 This practice provides a means of qualitative assess-ments of outdoor weathering effects on pressure-sensitivetapes. The res

9、istance of tapes to outdoor weathering is deter-mined relative to the resistance of a control tape with knownstability.4.2 If tests described in this practice produce the same typeof degradation as found in real-time exposures of the samematerials, it is possible to use the results from these short-

10、termtests to determine the quantitative effects of natural weathering.4.3 The timing of exposure testing covering both outdoorconventional and outdoor accelerated exposure of this practice, using levels of ultraviolet solar radiation exposure (MJ/m2)ofUV (295 to 385 nm) is an improvement in the timin

11、g ofexposure testing. Testing specific levels of solar radiant expo-sure (MJ/m2) may be used to establish relative equivalentexposure, but the use of (MJ/m2of UV (295 to 385 nm) is thepreferred method.4,5,64.4 The radiant exposure (308 or 616 MJ/m2) suggested inthis practice approximates one and two

Since all materials“weather” at different rates in different environments, results1This practice is under the jurisdiction of ASTM Committee D10 on Packagingand is the direct responsibility of Subcommittee D10.14 on Tapes and Labels.Curr

Test Specimens7.1 Unless otherwise specified, prepare and expose at leasttwo replicate specimens of each tape to be tested.

22、 The testspecimen dimensions shall be in accordance with any teststandard to be used subsequent to this exposure or theapplicable material or commodity specification.7.2 Lacking the previously mentioned documents, thesample shall consist of two 2 by 3-in. Where width or otherfactors causing high adherence to backing make it impossibleto

24、remove the specimens at the prescribed rate, remove at a rateas close to 20 in./s (500 mm/s) as possible.8. Procedure8.1 Apply the specimens as directed by the standard to beused subsequent to this exposure. If there are none, apply oneof the 2 by 3-in. (50 by 75-mm) specimens, centered length-wise,

25、 to the 3 by 5-in. (75 by 125-mm) panel starting at one endusing the rubber-covered roller (see 5.3), holding the specimenso that the roller causes first contact of the specimen with thepanel. Apply the second 2 by 3-in. specimen as described, starting at the opposite end of the panel. The end result
