2、st revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This practice describes the procedures for the acceler-ated aging of inflatable restraint fabrics when required as aprep
3、aratory step for other test methods.1.1.1 In Section 7, this practice lists four methods forconducting accelerated aging that are of concern to the designand manufacture of inflatable restraints. They are as follows:Description SectionCycle aging (Option “A” or “B”) 8.4Heat aging (Option “A” or “B”)
4、 8.4.3.1Humidity aging (Option “A” or “B”) 8.7Ozone aging 8.81.2 This practice may be used in conjunction with otherASTM test methods when subsequent tests of physical prop-erties are required of aged fabric specimens.1.3 Procedures and apparatus other than those stated in thispractice may be used b

Significance and Use5.1 For inflatable restraints, practices for conducting accel-erated aging are designed to determine the aggravat

The four accelerated aging proce-dures of concern to the design and manufacture of inflatablerestraints are referred to as cycle aging, heat agi

The number of test specimens and their configu-ration shall conform to the requirements of the ASTM testmethods associated with subsequent physical property testing.8.

If an unscheduled interruption occurs that causesthe environmental conditions to exceed the allowable toler-ances in the direction
