2、, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This test method covers the determination of the torque-tension relationship (lubricity) of adhesives u

Summary of Test Method4.1 This test method consists of applying adhesive to athreaded fastener and measuring the developed tension appliedto the fastener at specified torques. Alternatively, the torquerequired to reach specified levels of bolt tension ma

Significance and Use5.1 On some applications of threaded fasteners, it is desir-able to control either the amount of developed tension when aspecified range of torque has been applied or the torquerequired to develop a specified range of tension. This testmethod is used to determine
8、the effect of using adhesives onthe torque-tension relationship of threaded fasteners.5.2 Accurate torque-tension relationships may be measuredonly by defining and controlling the many related test param-eters.6.
