20、 in this specificationis in accordance with Terminologies D 883 and D 1600.4. Classification4.1 Thermoplastic polyester materials are classified intogroups according to their composition. These groups aresubdivided into classes and grades, as indicated in the basicproperty table (Table TPES).NOTE 2A

21、n example of this classification system is as follows. Thedesignation TPES 0113 would indicate:TPES = thermoplastic polyester as found in Terminology D 1600,01 (group) = PBT,1 (class) = general purpose, and3 (grade) = requirements given in Table TPES.4.1.1 Grades of reinforced or filled versions, or

22、 both, of thebasic materials are identified by a single letter that indicates thereinforcement or filler used and two digits, in multiples of five, that indicate the nominal quantity in percent by weight. Thus,a letter designation G for glass reinforced and 35 for percent orreinforcement, G35, specif

The reinforcement letter designations andassociated tolerance levels are shown as tabulated as follows:Symbol Material ToleranceC carbon- and graphite-fiber-reinforced62%G glass-reinforced 62%L lubricants (such as PTFE,graphite, silicone, and mo-lybd

The designation TPES021G30 indicates the following:T

25、PES = thermoplastic polyester as found in TerminologyD 1600,02 (group) = PET,1 (class) = unmodified, andG30 (grade) = nominal 30 % glass with the requirements given inTable TPES.NOTE 4This part of the classification system uses the percent ofreinforcements or fillers, or both, in the callout of the

26、modified basematerial. The types and percentages of reinforcements and fillers shouldbe shown on the suppliers technical data sheet unless they are proprietaryin nature. If necessary, additional callout of these reinforcements andadditives can be accomplished by use of the suffix part of the system

27、(seeSection 5).NOTE 5Materials containing reinforcements or fillers, or both, atnominal levels not in multiples of five are included in the nearest TPESdesignation. For example, a material with a nominal glass content of 28 %is included with Grade G30.NOTE 6The ash content of filled or reinforced ma

The designation will consist of the letter “A” or “B” andthe five digits comprising the cell numbers for the propertyrequirements in the order as they appe

The designation TPES0310G30A22450 would indicate the following material requirementsfrom Table A:TPES
