Physical Requirements4.1 The tubing shall be made of PFA-fluoropolymer resinmeeting the requirements of Specification D3307.4.2 The inside diameter and wall thickness and tolerances ofthe tubing shall be as shown in Table 1, when determined inaccordance with

10、7.1.3.1 and 7.1.3.2.4.3 The specific gravity of the tubing shall be between 2.12and 2.17 inclusive when determined in accordance with 7.1.4.4.4 The tubing shall have a minimum tensile strength of10.0 MPa (1500 psi) and a minimum elongation of 200 %when determined in accordance with 7.1.5.4.5 The tub

11、ing shall remain free from cracks and exhibit nosplitting when tested for dimensional stability in accordancewith 7.1.6.5. Sampling5.1 Sampling shall be statistically adequate to satisfy therequirements of 8.2.6. Number of Tests and Retests6.1 One set of five test specimens shall be consideredsuffic

12、ient for testing each batch. Test Methods7.1 The properties enumerated in this specification shall bedetermined in accordance with the following methods.7.1.1 ConditioningCondition the test specimens at 23 62C (73.4 6 3.6F) for a period of at least 4 h prior to test. Ifthe test material has bee

16、n exposed to temperatures below 20Cwithin 24 h prior to test, the conditioning shall be for at least24 h and as outlined in Practice D618.7.1.2 Test ConditionsConduct tests at the standard labo-ratory temperature of 23 6 2C (73.4 6 3.6F), in referee casesthe standard laboratory atmosphere including

17、50 6 5%RHshall apply.7.1.3 Dimensions and Tolerances:7.1.3.1 Inside DiameterDetermine the inside diameter inaccordance with Test Method D1675, except that no individualmeasurements shall be allowed to exceed the tolerancesspecified in Table 1.7.1.3.2 Wall ThicknessDetermine the wall thickness inacco

18、rdance with the procedures described in Test MethodD1675, except that no individual measurements shall beallowed to exceed the tolerances specified in Table 1.7.1.4 Specific GravityDetermine the specific gravity inaccordance with MethodAof Test Methods D792.Add 2 dropsof wetting agent (liquid deterg

19、ent) to the water in order toreduce the surface tension and ensure complete wetting of thespecimen.7.1.5 Tensile Strength and ElongationDetermine the ten-sile strength and elongation as specified in 7.1.5.1 7.1.5.3 onfive transverse specimens, using a testing speed of 50.8 mm (2in.)/min. Average the

20、 test results for the longitudinal and thetransverse specimens separately. Discard specimens that breakin the jaws of the tension tester, and make new tests.7.1.5.1 Tubing Having an Inside Diameter of 15.9 mm(0.625 in.) and OverDetermine the tensile strength andelongation in both the longitudinal an

21、d transverse directions inaccordance with Specification D4894.7.1.5.2 Tubing Having an Inside Diameter less than 15.9mm (0.625 in.) to 2.3 mm (0.090 in.) InclusiveDetermine thetensile strength and elongation in the longitudinal direction inaccordance with Specification D4894. For longitudinalspecime

22、ns, slit the tubing parallel to the axis and flatten out,prior to punching out specimens.7.1.5.3 Tubing Having an Inside Diameter less than 2.3 mm(0.090 in.)Test specimens as filaments. Make nonsliptypeloop knots in each end of the specimen so that there are 34.9mm (138 in.) between the knots of the

23、 loops (see Fig. 1). Placeloops over the drum of a standard wire specimen holder in thetension-testing machine and pull in this position.7.1.6 Dimensional StabilityCut three specimens each 305mm (12 in.) long, measured to the nearest 1.6 mm (116 in.).Place the specimens in a circulating-air oven at

24、200 6 2C for3 h. Then remove the specimens from the oven and allow tocool to 23 6 2C (73.4 6 3.6F). Again measure the length tothe nearest 1.6 mm (116 in.). Calculate the change in length asa percentage of the original length.8. Inspection and Certification8.1 The tubing shall be visually and dimens

25、ionally in-spected to verify compliance with the requirements of thisspecification.8.2 For all products, the purchaser shall be furnished acertification that this lot is made from only virgin PFA and thatthe sample representing each lot has been either tested orinspected as directed in this specific
