Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval. This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the Department of Defense.1. Scope1.1 This test method covers the ability of an emu

It isapplicable to emulsified asphalts composed principally of asemisolid or liquid asphaltic base, water, and an emulsifyingagent.1.2 This test method does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its

5、gnificance and Use3.1 This test method is useful for determining, in a com-paratively short time, the storage stability or settlement of anemulsified asphalt. It is a measure of the permanence of thedispersion as related to time, but it is not to be construed tohave significance as a measure of othe

Summary of Test Method4.1 This test method determines the difference in percentresidue of samples taken from the top and bottom of materialplaced in undisturbed simulated storage for a specified timeperiod. The result is expressed by determining the differencebe

Sample Conditioning for Testing5.1 All emulsified asphalts shall be properly stirred toachieve homogeneity before testing.5.2 All emulsified asphalts with viscosity testing require-ments of 50C shall be heated to 50 6
