2、the case of revision, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This practice covers a method for recovering the residuefrom emulsified asphalts suc

The recoveredresidue can be used for further testing as required.1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as thestandard. The values given in parent

Significance and Use3.1 The procedure described in this practice is used toobtain a residue from an emulsified asphalt that may be usedfor further testing in devices such as a dynamic shear rheom-eter. The lower evaporative temperatures
7、of this procedureprovide conditions that are very close to that of applicationtechniques for these materials. This practice could be used inplace of recovery techniques such as those of Test MethodsD6934 and D6997, when the temperatures used in thosestandards would negatively affect the residue.4. R

The mat mayhave a lip to contain the emulsified asphalt to the appropriatearea.NOTE 1A silicone mat can be purchased at va

The ra

The oven racks must be checked for level, witha bubble level of 250 mm minimum length, from side to sideand front to back of the oven.5. Procedure5.
11、1 Pour the required amount of emulsified asphalt onto thesilicone mat and spread evenly with a spatula to give a spreadrate of 1.5 to 2.0 kg/m2of emulsified asphalt. The silicone matshould be supported by an oven tray or other flat tray or panthat will allow easy transfer to an oven. Table 1 may be
