Significance and Use4.1 This practice is intended to aid in the selection of testprotocols for reinforced pultruded composites.4.2 This practice is intended to define the locations fromwhich test specimens shall be taken from the reinforcedpultruded composite.5. General Requ
17、irements5.1 All test specimens shall conform to the geometry andspecimen quantity specified by the test methods of Section 2.5.1.1 See Section 6.5.2 All test specimens shall have a constant cross-sectionprior to machining the specimens.5.3 The test specimens shall be machined from a flatconstant thi

The edges of the gage area of the testspecimen shall be no closer than 3.18 mm (18 in.) from anydeviation of the flat surface.5.3.1 At least one specimen shall be taken from each side orflange of the pultruded shape.5.4 Multiple sets of test specimens are required when:5.4.1 The pultrud

A different set of specimens is required for eachthickness of the pultruded shape.5.4.2 The pultruded composite inherently has different re-inforcement arrangements in different areas of the part such asthe flange and web of W/I-Beams.5.4.3 There ar

Simulated Plate Test6.1 A simulated flat test plate shall be used when therequired specimen geometry cannot be acquired from thepultruded composite. Rou
22、nd tubes are an example.6.2 The simulated test plate shall be used for all variationsas identified in 5.4.6.3 The simulated flat test plate shall have the same thick-ness and composite as the original pultruded shape.7. Data Reporting7.1 The data shall be reported as required by the specific testmet
