ASTM E144-1994(2011) 6875 Standard Practice for Safe Use of Oxygen Combustion Bombs《氧燃烧弹安全使用的标准操作规程》.pdf

1、Designation: E144 94 (Reapproved 2011)Standard Practice forSafe Use of Oxygen Combustion Bombs1This standard is issued under the fixed designation E144; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A n

2、umber in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1NOTEThe warning note was editorially moved into 4.1 in December 2006.1. Scope1.1 This practice covers methods for judging the soundnessof new and u

Where there isconflict with specific prec

The metric equivalent of inch-pound units maybe approximate.1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with

5、 its use. It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety and health practices and determine the applica-bility of regulatory limitations prior to use.2. Physical Requirements2.1 Initial TestThe manufacturer of oxygen combustionbombs for use in ASTM test methods

Thehydrostatic and proof tests described in Sections

8、3 and 4 shallbe repeated if any of the following have occurred:2.2.1 Five thousand firings.2.2.2 Firing with an excessive charge of either sample oroxygen.2.2.3 Ignition of any internal part of the bomb, includingfuel capsule.2.2.4 The evidence of corrosion or surface defects whichexceed 80 % of the

Hydrostatic Test3.1 Fill the bomb with water at room temperature andconnect to a suitable hydraulic pressure system. Be sure that allair has

10、been displaced from the bomb and from the connectinggas passages. Support the bomb so that the diameter at themidsection of the cylinder can be measured with a micrometercaliper, and the deflection at the center point of the bottom canbe measured with a micrometer dial indicator. Apply waterpressure

Raise the hydrostaticpressure to test pressure and repeat these measurements, thenrelease the pressure and take a third set of measurements withthe system at atmospheric pressure. If the application of testpressure produces a deflection gr

Check thepressure gauge or gauges for accuracy at regular intervals, orwhenever there is any reason to suspect that they are inaccu-rate. The bomb must not be fired if an over-charge of

Control the circuit by a double-pole pushswitch that can be closed only when the operator presses theignition button.5.1.4 Safety BarricadeProtect the operator by a barricadewhen firing the bomb and for 15 s thereafter.
