Scope1.1 This specification covers requirements for glass volu-metric flasks of precision grades suitable for laboratory pu

3、r-poses and of specialty use. Each flask shall be marked with theletter “A” to signify compliance with applicable constructionand accuracy requirements. Flasks may be marked with anidentification number (serial number) at the option of themanufacturer.NOTE 1Specifications for standard volumetric fla

Design5.1 ShapeStyle 1 and 3 flask necks shall be designed withre-inforced rims for acceptance of rubber stoppe

9、r or may beflared. Style 2 shall have a neck with an enlarged cup beadedto accept a rubber stopper. Flask shapes shall permit completeemptying and thorough cleaning. The area of the bottom orbase shall be of sufficient size so the flask, when empty, shallstand on an inclined plane of 15 to the horiz

10、ontal.5.2 Volumetric TolerancesFlasks shall be in accordancewith tolerances appearing in Table 1.5.3 MarkingsAll markings shall be permanent and leg-ible.5.3.1 Capacity LineThe capacity line shall be sharplydefined and of uniform width in a plane parallel to the base ofthe flask. The line shall be a

11、pplied by one of the followingmethods; etched and filled with a permanent pigment; en-graved; by application of a stain fired into the glass withoutetching or by application of an enamel which is fused on theglass without etching. Lines shall be in accordance withSpecification E 694 for thickness an

12、d lengths.5.3.2 Identification MarkingsEach flask, marked by oneof the methods given in 5.3.1 shall show the manufacturersname or trademark, the nomical capacity, the word “contains”or the symbol “TC” and the temperature of calibration, that is,20 C.5.3.3 Laboratory Marking SpotEach flask shall have
