Requirements4.1 The thermal insulation boards shall meet the followingrequirements.4.1.1 Insulation boards shall meet the properties listed inTable 1 of Specification C578 for Type I.4.1.2 Insulation boards shall be made of 100 % virgin EPS.4.1.3 Length1219 mm (48 in.) 6 1.6 mm (6116 in.).4.1.4 Wi
8、dth610 mm (24 in.) 6 1.6 mm (6116 in.).4.1.5 Thickness:4.1.5.1 Minimum: 20 mm (34 in.) + 1.6 mm (116 in.).4.1.5.2 Maximum: as specified.4.1.6 Edge TruenessWhen measured with a straight edge,edges shall not deviate more that 0.8 mm (132 in.) in 305 mm(12 in.).4.1.7 Face FlatnessWhen measured across t
9、he face with astraight edge, the maximum deviation for the straight edgeshall not exceed more than 0.8 mm (132 in.).4.1.8 SquarenessWhen measured on the large flat facefrom one corner to the opposing corner, the dimensionalvariations shall not exceed more than 0.8 mm (132 in.) in 305mm (12 in.).4.1.
10、9 AgingPrior to cutting into individual boards, theinsulation billet shall remain in one of the following states:4.1.9.1 For a minimum of six weeks at ambient tempera-tures and humidity conditions of the storage locations.4.1.9.2 For a minimum of five days at a constant tempera-ture of 60C (140F).4.
11、1.9.3 For a minimum of twelve days at the existingtemperature and humidity conditions of the storage locationwhen thermal insulation boards are manufactured using lowpentane EPS resin ( 4.5 % pentane) and vacuum moldingtechnology.4.1.9.4 For a minimum of 18 days at existing temperatureand humidity c
12、onditions of the storage location when thermalinsulation boards are manufactured using full pentane resin(nominal 6 % pentane) and using vacuum molding technology.4.1.10 Inspection and Quality AssuranceThe thermal in-sulation boards shall be produced under the EIFS producersquality assurance program

16、, Finish, and Appearance5.1 Crushing and DepressionInsulation boards shall haveno crushed or depressed areas on any surface exceeding 1.6mm (116 in.) in depth on no more the 5 % of the surface area.5.2 VoidsInsulation board shall have no more than 8 voidshaving dimensions larger than 3.2 mm (18 in.)
17、 3.2 mm (18in.) per 0.74 sq m (8 sq ft) of surface area.5.3 ProjectionsInsulation board shall be free from surfaceprojections or cutting marks in excess of 1.6 mm (116 in.).6. Product Marking, Packaging, and Package Marking6.1 Each board shall be marked with the insulation produc-ers name and the na
18、me of the EIFS producer with which thebards will be used, as follows:6.1.1 Marking of Individual Boards:6.1.1.1 Each board shall be marked on at least one edge, and6.1.1.2 One board in each package shall be marked on bothfaces.6.1.2 Packaging:6.1.2.1 Insulation boards shall be packaged in plastic ba
19、gs.6.1.2.2 Alternate methods of packaging shall be submittedto the EIFS manufacturer and approved prior to use.6.1.3 Package Marking:6.1.3.1 The insulation producer shall mark the lot numberon each package.7.
