Ordering Information3.1 Orders for material to this specification shall include thefollowing informatio

Manufacture and Workmanship4.1 The material shall be handled in such a manner thatoxide contamination and foreign
8、material such as metal chipsand dirt shall be minimized on the surfaces.4.2 Sheet and strip intended for deep drawing shall besubstantially free from directional properties which can causeexcessive tearing in the deep drawn product.5. Chemical Composition5.1 This material shall conform to the chemic
9、al compositionshown in Table 1.5.2 When specifically requested, a certificate of chemicalanalysis shall be supplied by the manufacturer. Sample forchemical analysis is to be taken from a ladle sample at the timethe melt is cast. Each sample shall be individually analyzed tothe requirements of 5.1 an
10、d the numerical results of analysisreported in the certification.5.3 In case of disagreement, the analysis shall be made inaccordance with Test Method E75 for the respective materialswhen such methods of analysis are available. When ASTMmethods are not available, the analytical procedures shall beag
11、reed upon by the manufacturer and the purchaser.6. Physical Properties6.1 Alloy 1The properties shall be as shown in theapplicable basic product specification referenced in 5.1 exceptfor grain size which shall conform to the requirements in Table2.1This specification is under the jurisdiction of AST

17、 a one per heat basis.6.4 Alloy 5The properties shall be as shown in theapplicable basic product specifications referenced in 5.1.7. General Condition7.1 Macroscopical Edges shall be free from seams, laps,folds, and cracks which would be detrimental to its end use.7.2 Microscopical The material shal
18、l be free of nonme-tallic inclusions or discontinuities which would be detrimentalto its end use when examined in accordance with 8.1.2.8. Test Methods8.1 For Alloys 1 and 2, the properties enumerated in thisspecification shall be determined on specimens prepared inaccordance with the following proc
19、edures.8.1.1 Macroscopical:8.1.1.1 For this examination, usually performed on heat-treated or unheat-treated specimens of large diameter wire, rod,tube, and shaped extrusions, specimens shall be machined to a63 rms surface finish or smoother on the transverse section anddegreased.8.1.1.2 Prepare a f
20、resh 1 + 1 aqueous solution of commer-cial nitric acid to which has been added5gofcopper per litreof solution before use. The solution shall be kept free from dirtand maintained during use at a temperature 24 6 3C.8.1.1.3 Etch the specimens for 3 to 5 min by lowering intothe solution and agitating s
21、lowly. Remove periodically todetermine whether the etching is sufficient. If the specimenstend to stain, adding 25 mL of hydrochloric acid to each litreof solution will minimize the staining. After etching, wash anddry the specimen before examination.8.1.1.4 Examine at 10 magnification.8.1.2 Microsc
22、opical:8.1.2.1 Cut and degrease longitudinal specimens from thefinished material. Heat to 850 6 25C for 30 min in anatmosphere containing not less than 10 % hydrogen andrapidly cool but do not necessarily quench.8.1.2.2 Polish the specimens and etch for microscopicalexamination in a solution consist
