ASTM E550-1987(2002) Standard Guide for Preparing Granular Pesticide Ground Applicator Calibration Procedures《颗粒撒播器校准程序的编制》.pdf

1、Designation: E 550 87 (Reapproved 2002)Standard Guide forPreparing Granular Pesticide Ground Applicator CalibrationProcedures1This standard is issued under the fixed designation E 550; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision

2、, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This guide is for those who prepare granular pesticideground applicator calibration procedures. The pur

For specific hazardstatements see Section 4.1.3 The values stated in acceptable metric units are to beregarded as the standard. The values in parentheses are forinformation only.2. Significance and Use2.1

5、 This guide covers the calibration of row, band, andbroadcast applicators. Attainment of accurate and more uni-form application can reduce the quantity of active ingredientrequired for a given degree of control, thus improving envi-ronmental quality and safety at a more economical cost. 16、.6. Calibration Procedures6.1 Perform the following basic steps for the calibration ofgranular applicators:6.1.1 Lay out a measured course in the field where theapplication will take place or in an area having similar soil andterrain conditions. To minimize the error in collecting granules, the accel

17、eration and deceleration distances should be as shortas possible and the total distance driven should be as long aspractical.6.1.2 Determine the ground speed that will be used. Exceptfor the orifice setting, ground speed is the most significantfactor affecting the application rate. Therefore, it is

18、importantto maintain a uniform speed during calibration and application.6.1.3 Determine and set the initial orifice setting. Bothchemical and equipment manufacturers furnish application ratecharts that are intended to be a starting point for determiningthe correct orifice setting.6.1.4 Fill the hopp

A sufficient quantity of material must be collectedduring the test to allow for accurate weighing on the scales.6.1.8 Calculate the application rate in accordance with 7.1.6.1.9 Compare the amount collected in 6.1.6 or calculated in6.1.8 with the recommended rate. If necessary, reset theapplica
