ASTM E761-1992(2005) Standard Test Method for Compressive Strength of Sprayed Fire-Resistive Material Applied to Structural Members《结构构件上喷涂防火材料抗压强度的试验方法》.pdf

1、Designation: E 761 92 (Reapproved 2005)Standard Test Method forCompressive Strength of Sprayed Fire-Resistive MaterialApplied to Structural Members1This standard is issued under the fixed designation E 761; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, i

2、n the case of revision, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval. This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the Department of Defense.1. Scope1.1

3、This test method covers a procedure for measuring thecompressive strength of sprayed fire-resistive material (SFRM)applied to a rigid substrate. These fire-resistive materialsinclude sprayed fibrous and cementitious materials applieddirectly in contact with these structural members. The testmethod i

The values given in parentheses are for informationonly.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is theresponsibility of the u

Summary of Test Method3.1 The compressive strength of SFRM applied t

7、o a steelsheet is determined by applying a crushing load normal to thesurface of the specimen. This test method measures the stressat 10 % deformation or at failure, whichever is smaller.4. Significance and Use4.1 The intent of this test method is to determine propertiesof direct-applied SFRM that m

Satisfactory performance of fire-resistive material applied to structural members and assembliesdepends upon its ability while in place to withstand the variousinfluences that may occur during the life of the structure, aswell as upon its satisfa

9、ctory performance under fire tests.4.2 This test method measures the compressive strength ofSFRM and is a measure of the resistance to deformation undera compressive load. It is an indication of the ability of SFRMto remain in place and resist removal during anticipated serviceconditions.5. Apparatu

10、s5.1 Testing MachineAny form of standard hydraulic ormechanical compression testing machine accurate to 0.005 kg(0.01 lb) and 0.25 mm (0.001 in.).5.2 Spherical Bearing Block Assembly, having a planebearing surface of 150 mm (6 in.) square. The upper bearingshall be a spherically seated, hardened met

Thecenter of the sphere shall lie at the center of the surface held inits spherical seat, but shall be free to turn in any direction, andits perimeter shall have at least 6-mm (14-in.) clearance fromthe head to allow for specime

15、6. Materials and Manufacture6.1 This test method requires the application of SFRM inaccordance with manufacturers published instructions. Theapparatus, materials, and procedures used to apply the SFRMfor this test shall be representative of application in the field.6.2 The density of the prepared s

Clean with solvent to remove any oilon the surface to be sprayed, in accordance with Guide D 2092.7.2 Apply the fire resistive material to the galv

Individualthickness measurement shall be + 3.0 mm (0.125 in.) with nomeasurement less than 19 mm (34 in.).7.3 Condition the prepared specimen for a period of not lessthan 72 h at room temperature (20 6 10C (68 618F) and atrelative humidity

19、not greater than 60 %. After 72 h, thespecimen may be force dried in a drying oven at 43 6 6C (1106 10F), and at a relative humidity not greater than 60 % untilreaching constant weight.37.4 Testing may be performed after it has been determinedthat the specimen has reached constant weight.7.5 Where n

Theinitial thickness of the test specimen for deformation calcula-tions shall be the distance between the plane bearing surface ofthe block assembly and the steel (backing) plane, after aninitial load of 0.7 kPa (0.1 psi)

Compress thespecimen until either a deformation of 10 % or ultimate load isreached, whichever occurs first.9. Report9.1 Report the following information:9.1.1 Compres

Precision and Bias10.1 PrecisionThe precision of the test method is beingdeveloped and will be added when available.10.2 BiasThe procedure in this test method has no biasbecause the value of the compressive strength can be definedonly in terms of a test method.11.
