Drop and vibration tests areperformed to measure the ability of the shipping container toprotect the product from the shock and vibration the containerreceives during n
4、ormal handling and transporting. This speci-fication is not intended to supplant material specifications orexisting preshipment test procedures. This specification is notintended for use with hazardous materials.1.2 These procedures are suitable for all types of laboratoryapparatus, including reusab

Each specimen shallbe run through the sequence of tests in the order given.3.2 Condition test specimens in accordance with PracticeD685. Standard conditions must be maintained throughout thetest sequence.3.3 The packaging s

Procedure4.1 Vibration TestPerform the vibration test in accordancewith Method A of Met
10、hods D999.4.1.1 Proceed with the following test duration and se-quence: bottom for 30 min; side for 15 min; and end for 15min. Total vibration time will be 60 min.4.2 Drop TestPerform the drop test in accordance withMethod D775.4.2.1 Determine the drop height of the specimen from thefollowing:Gross
