Therefore, a device that does not meetthis specification may still satisfy the requirements of ASTM Practices F 1063, F 1064, and F 1065.1. Scope1.1 This specification covers requ

Selection of Reference Bindings5.1 A binding (designation B, 4.1.2, 4.2.2) or group ofbindings shall be selected by the test device manufacturerwhich are appropriate for the type of equipment defined by thetest device classification. For designations other than
19、B (4.1.2,4.2.2), six bindings from at least three binding manufacturerswill be used.NOTE 1Test Method F 504 may be used to select reference bindingswhich are typical of bindings in common usage.6. Performance Requirements6.1 The test device shall be of a design such that whentested by Test Method F
20、1062 (Section 8 and 9.3) will meet thefollowing requirements:6.1.1 Type I (d)not greater than 65%5or 60.25 daNm,5whichever is greater, for the reference binding(s) as a groupand not more than 6712 %5or 0.38 daNm,5whichever isgreater, for any one binding in a group of two or morereference bindings.6.

27、r Requirements7.1 If no letter designation is included in the classification,the device shall be suitable for releasable ski/boot/bindingsystems commonly in use at the time of manufacture.7.1.1 Specific products or conditions which may limit theuse of the device may be specified without adding a let
28、terdesignation to the classification.7.1.2 Devices classified with a letter designation shall besupplied with a description of all product types or conditionsfor which its use is appropriate.7.1.3 Type III devices shall be supplied with specific refer-ences to the products and conditions for which i
29、ts use isintended.7.2 Instructions supplied with the device shall include thefollowing:7.2.1 All information necessary to determine the proper useand limitations of the device, including an explanation of allterminology and coded information used in the labeling device;7.2.2 Procedures necessary for
30、 the proper operation of thedevice with the ski equipment commonly in use at the time ofmanufacture.All procedures shall be compatible with PracticesF 939, F 1063, F 1064, and F 1065, or the equivalent ISOStandard 8061;7.2.3 Precautions required to minimize operator error;7.2.4 Procedures necessary
31、to check reproducibility amongoperators (see Annex A1);7.2.5 Routine maintenance and inspection procedures, and7.2.6 Calibration requirements and procedures.8. Product Labeling8.1 Each device shall be clearly labeled with the followinginformation:8.1.1 Name and address of the manufacturer or distrib

35、oments to approxi-mately the middle of the ROR for the test device.A1.2.2 Randomly order a series of tests such that eachoperator performs five repetitions of the test.A1.2.3 Designate one person to make all observations. Theobserver should not perform any tests.A1.2.4 Conduct all training recommend
