Significance and Use2.1 The purpose of this specification is to provide theminimum requirements necessary for the establishment of awritten quality assurance program for a light sport aircraftmanufacturer, or component supplier.2.2 Off-Site Final AssemblyOff-site final as
5、sembly ordivided production facilities, or both, are specifically allowed ifthe QA procedures specify the applicable QA requirements forthe activities being conducted at the final assembly or produc-tion facility where the activity is being conducted, or both.These QA requirements shall be consisten
6、t with this specifica-tion.3. Drawing Control Procedure3.1 A written procedure shall be in effect so that appropriatemanufacturing drawings, their manufacturing revisions, andrelated documents are utilized for each project.4. Material and Component Control Procedure4.1 A written procedure shall be i
7、n effect so that materials,processes, and components, including raw materials, are inaccordance with the manufacturing specifications.4.1.1 This procedure shall provide the purchasing agentwith all the information required to order appropriate material.4.1.2 A written receiving procedure shall be in
8、 effect so thatincoming material and components are checked against thepurchasing specifications.4.1.3 A written procedure shall be in effect so that materialin stock can be properly identified for future use.4.1.4 Documentation on any material, process, or compo-nents certified shall be filed for r
9、eference.5. Inspection5.1 A written procedure shall be in effect so that appropriateinspections are made on manufactured parts and subassem-blies, for conformance with engineering specifications.5.2 A written procedure shall be in effect so that appropriateinspections are made on purchased component
10、s.5.3 A written procedure shall be in effect so that completedunits are inspected prior to delivery.5.4 Nonconforming components shall be identified andevaluated for disposition as follows:5.4.1 A component not suitable for use shall be altered ordisposed of to avoid accidental use.5.4.2 Reworked co
11、mponents shall be re-inspected in accor-dance with 5.1, 5.2,or5.3 of this practice prior to use.5.4.3 In some cases, a component may be determined to be“acceptable as is” or “as modified” after further evaluation. Insuch cases, appropriate review, acceptance, and documentationshall be a requirement.
12、6. Audits6.1 A written procedure shall be in effect to perform auditsof the Quality Assurance Program at least once every twoyears.7.
