Terminology3.1 Definitions:3.1.1 powered parachute, naircraft comprised of a flex-ible or semi-rigid wing connected to a fuselage in such a waythat the wing is not in position for flight until the aircraft is inmotion, that aircraft has
7、a fuselage with seats, engine, andwheels (or floats), such that the wing and engine cannot beflown without the wheels (or floats) and seat(s). Unique to thepowered parachute is the large displacement between thecenter of lift (high) and the center of gravity (low), which is thependulum effect. The p
8、endulum effect limits angle of attackchanges, provides stall resistance, and maintains flight stability.4. Interface Documentation4.1 Interface documentation is the data necessary for theaircraft manufacturer to complete overall certification toASTM powered parachute standards. The following datarep
9、resents a guide to recommended type, detail, and generalformat for data transfer from a major subcontractor to theaircraft manufacturer.4.2 Manufacturers Reference DocumentsThe followingare reference documents that should be supplied to the manu-facturer by the subcontractor. These are intended to b
10、e main-tained at a current status and referenced by documents pro-vided with each delivered product.4.2.1 Quality Assurance ManualIn order to meet therequirements of Specification F 2240, it will be necessary forthe manufacturer to have a current copy of the subcontractorsquality assurance manual on

This manual needs to showthat written procedures are in effect for:4.2.1.1 Drawing control,4.2.1.2 Component control,4.2.1.3 Receiving inspection,4.2.1.4 Material identification,4.2.1.5 Inspection,4.2.1.6 Non-conforming material handling, and4.2.1.7 QA audits.4.2.2 Continued AirworthinessIn o
12、rder to meet the re-quirements of Specification F 2241, it will be necessary for themanufacturer to have a current copy of the subcontractorscontinued airworthiness manual on file.4.2.3 Production Acceptance TestingIn order to meet therequirements of Specification F 2242, it will be necessary forthe
