Materials and Manufacture5.1 RollersRollers shall be

15、manufactured of chrome alloysteel E50100, E51100, E52100, in accordance with SAE AMS66, SAEAMS 6440, SAEAMS 6444, and SpecificationA 295.5.2 The use of recycled materials that meet the requirementsof the applicable material specification without jeopardizingthe intended use of the item is encouraged

16、.5.3 Material certifications are required for all materialsused. Each lot of needle rollers shall be traceable to thesecertifications. These certifications shall be available for reviewby the purchaser and provided to the purchaser when specifiedin the contract or purchase order. The needle roller m

17、anufac-turer shall determine conformance of materials on a periodicbasis. These tests may be performed by the manufacturersinternal laboratory or by a laboratory external to the manufac-turer. X-ray energy spectrometry, or comparable technology,may be used for the chemical identification and analysi

18、s of thematerials.6. Other Requirements6.1 Heat Treatment:6.1.1 Rollers 0.125 in. (3.18 mm) and Smaller Diameter,shall be through hardened to Rockwell HRA 81.2-83.4, inaccordance with Test Methods E18.6.1.2 Rollers Larger than 0.125 in (3.18 mm) Diameter,shall be through hardened to Rockwell HRC 60

19、to 64 inaccordance with Test Methods E18.NOTE 1Hardness tests can be made using various techniques; how-ever, in the case of disputes, a hardness test made on flats of sufficientwidth to give a true reading will be considered to be the definitive value.6.2 Protective Coating:6.2.1 Manufacturer shall

20、 put rollers in rust-preventativepackaging or coat rollers with rust-preventive film.6.2.2 A material certification for the rust preventative shallbe available for review by the purchaser. The needle rollermanufacturer shall determine conformance of the rust preven-tative material(s) on a periodic b

21、asis. If the purchaser maintainsa list of approved rust preventatives, and if the rust preventa-tive supplied by the needle roller manufacturer is on theapproved list, then the requirement for periodic testing of therust preventative would be eliminated. For example, periodictesting would not be req

22、uired if parts supplied to the Depart-ment of Defense were protected with a rust preventative listedin a current QPL (Qualified Products List).7. Dimensions and Permissible Variations7.1 Dimensioning and tolerancing shall conform toASME Y14.5M.7.2 Products manufactured in accordance with this specif

23、i-cation shall meet the requirements shown in Table 1.7.2.1 Roller Diameter, DwPerfect form at MMC (maxi-mum material condition) is not required.7.2.2 The reference end form radius, Rw, is approximatelyequal to the roller diameter, Dw.7.2.3 The effective length, Lwe, is only to be used forcalculatin

24、g capacities.7.3 Rollers are intended to be used in complements wherethey are installed in housings and used with shafts to functionas a rolling bearing.8. Workmanship, Finish and Appearance8.1 WorkmanshipCylindrical surfaces of the roller shallbe free from scratches, pits, rust, indications of soft

Rejection and Rehearing10.1 Products that fail to conform to the requirements of thisspecification may be rejected. Rejection should be reported tothe producer or supplier promptly and in writing. In case ofdissatis

33、faction with the results of the test, the producer orsupplier may make claim for rehearing.11. Certification11.1 When specified in the purchase order or contract, thepurchaser shall be furnished certification that samples repre-senting each lot have been either tested or inspected as directedin this

34、 specification and the requirements have been met. Whenspecified in the purchase order or contract, a report of the testresults shall be furnished.12. Product Marking12.1 Marking individual rollers is not practical and wouldadversely affect their performance; therefore, any identificationmarkings sh

35、all appear on the packaging that contains therollers. Marking shall consist of the part number and themanufacturers identification in accordance with MIL-STD-130 and MIL-STD-129.12.1.1 The part number shall consist of the MS19065designation plus the dash number (see Table 1), for example,MS19065-8.1

36、3. Packaging and Package Marking13.1 Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchaseorder, military procurements shall be packaged and preservedin accordance with MIL-DTL-197. RECOMMENDED LOAD-LIFE DATAX1.1 The rating life, L10, of a group of apparently identicalroller bear

39、ings is the life in millions of revolutions that 90 % ofthe group will complete or exceed. For a single bearing(complement of rollers), L10also refers to the life associatedwith 90 % reliability.X1.1.1 As presently determined, the life that 50 % of thegroup of roller bearings will complete or exceed

40、 (median life,L50) is usually not greater than five times the rating life.X1.2 The basic load rating, C, for a radial rolling bearing isthat calculated, constant, radial load that a group of apparentlyidentical bearings with stationary outer raceway can theoreti-cally endure for a rating life of one

41、 million revolutions of itsinner raceway.X1.2.1 The basic load rating is a reference value only, thebase value of one million revolutions rating life having beenchosen for ease of calculation.X1.2.2 Since applied loading as great as the basic loadrating tends to cause local plastic deformation of th
