Scope1.1 The following requirements apply for the manufactureof weight-shift-control aircraft. This practice includes thep
3、roduction acceptance test requirements for weight-shift-control aircraft.1.2 This practice applies to aircraft seeking civil aviationauthority approval, in the form of flight certificates, flightpermits, or other like documentation.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety conce
4、rns, if any, associated with its use. It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety and health practices and determine the applica-bility of regulatory requirements prior to use.2. Significance and Use2.1 The purpose of this practice is to establish that eachp
5、roduction aircraft has been assembled properly and operatesnormally throughout its entire allowable flight envelope.2.2 If final assembly is completed outside of the mainproduction facility, the manufacturer shall specify the requiredprocedures and what persons are authorized to perform them.3. Prod
6、uction Acceptance Testing, Ground Testing3.1 Inspection VerificationThere shall be a written proce-dure in effect to verify all top-level inspections have beencompleted and no discrepancies remain open.3.2 Engine Break-InThere shall be a written procedure ineffect to perform the engine break-in. Thi
7、s procedure mayinclude all engine gage verification of operation. All enginereadings shall achieve the normal accepted range of readingscommensurate with a new engine. If it is not performed duringengine break-in, then this verification must be performed underseparate procedures. All engine gages sh
8、all be verified to beoperating. Final stages of engine break-in may be conducted inflight if a forced landing can be made safely at all times.4. Production Acceptance Testing, Flight Testing4.1 Every production aircraft shall be flight tested to thefollowing minimums:4.1.1 Fifteen minutes flight tim
9、e, including at least onetakeoff and landing, trimming of controls for straight and levelflight, and verification of control for left turn, right turn, andspeed control. Turns shall be made up to the maximumallowable bank angle as prescribed by the manufacturer andspeeds (wings level) shall be flown
10、 up to the maximumpossible for the configuration not to exceed manufacturerslimitations.4.2 Instrument VerificationThere shall be a written proce-dure in effect to verify that all other instruments are operatingwithin normal ranges. If equipped with a compass, the compassvariation card data shall be
11、 developed with the engine running.5. Post Flight Acceptance5.1 There shall be a written procedure in effect to performpost flight inspection that will review all flight critical attach-ments and structures.5.2 The reviewing personnel shall sign all post flight reviewdocuments.6. Documentation6.1 Th
12、ere shall be a written procedure in effect to properlydocument and store the Production Acceptance Test resultssuch that they are correlated to the specific aircraft for futurereference.6.2 Test FailuresThere shall be a written procedure ineffect to review the causes for any aircraft failures in the
13、Production Acceptance Tests phases. Aircraft may only bereleased for retest after manufacturing review of the discrepantarticles and written release for retest.7.
