4、d in accordance with theASTM Standards.1.1.1 This specification covers the minimum requirementsfor information that shall be provided by the airplane OEM orseller of a new light sport airplane, light sport airplane kit,engines, propellers, or accessories (that is, radio, transponder,instruments, GPS

5、, etc.) as a part of the initial sale or transfer tothe first end-user.1.1.2 This specification does not apply to the sale or transferof used light sport airplane, engines, propellers, or accessories.1.2 This specification applies to airplanes seeking civilaviation authority approval, in the form of

Significance and Use4.1 The purpose of this specification is to provide theminimum information necessary for the proper identification,operation, and maintenance of each light spo

10、rt airplane.4.2 This specification does not define the method for docu-mentation delivery to the first end-user. Whether to providepaper, PDF, electronic records, access to the information on awebsite, or some combination shall be determined by theaircraft OEM.5. Minimum Information Requirements5.1

11、The following information shall be furnished by themanufacturer or seller at the time of sale of each airplane orairplane kit to the first end-user.5.1.1 The information plate specified in Section 6.5.1.2 The placards specified in Section 7.5.1.3 The Pilots Operating Handbook (POH) specified inSecti

12、on 8.5.1.4 The maintenance manual specified in Section 9.5.1.5 The component OEMs manuals specified in Section10.5.1.6 The aircraft OEMs statement of compliance specifiedin Section 11.5.1.7 The aircraft OEMs product/component registrationinformation specified in Section 12.5.1.8 The aircraft records

16、 shall be furnished by themanufacturer or seller at the time of sale of each airplane kit tothe first end-user.5.3.1 The Airplane Kit Assembly Instruction (KAI) speci-fied in Section 15.6. Information Plate6.1 GeneralA manufacturer-issued fire proof informationplate, printed in English or as defined

17、 by the governing civilaviation authority or agency in which the aircraft was initiallysold, shall be permanently affixed to the aircraft in a visiblelocation and shall be designed to remain legible for theexpected life of the aircraft.6.2 MaterialThe information plate shall be made fromstainless st

18、eel, not less than 0.46 mm (0.018 in.) thick; mildsteel (corrosion-protected), not less than 0.46 mm (0.018 in.)thick; or alternative materials that provide equivalent protec-tion.6.3 InformationThe information plate shall contain thefollowing information.6.3.1 Serial NumberA unique identifying numb

19、er or codeissued by the aircraft manufacturer.6.3.2 Name of Aircraft OEMThe name of the aircraftOEM and country.6.3.3 ModelA unique identifying name, number, or codeassigned to each manufactured type of aircraft having the samebasic configuration or components and issued by the aircraftOEM.7. Placar

20、ds7.1 The following placards are required, must be displayedin a conspicuous place, and may not be easily erased, defaced,removed, or obscured.7.1.1 Passenger Warning: “This aircraft was manufacturedin accordance with Light SportAircraft airworthiness standardsand does not conform to standard catego

21、ry airworthinessrequirements.”7.1.2 “NO INTENTIONAL SPINS,” if applicable.8. Pilots Operating Handbook (POH)8.1 Each airplane shall have a hard-copy of the PilotsOperating Handbook (POH) provided that complies withSpecification F2245.9. Maintenance Manual9.1 Each airplane shall have a maintenance ma

22、nual pro-vided that complies with Specification F2483.10. Component Original Equipment Manufacturers(OEM) Manuals10.1 If the aircraft OEM has not incorporated the followinginformation into their aircraft manuals, the following compo-nent OEM documentation shall be provided to the first end-user.10.1

23、.1 Component OEM manuals for the engine, propeller,and accessories sold with the aircraft.10.1.1.1 For this standard, accessories are defined as anyassembly, subassembly, or component that requires some typeof pilot/owner maintenance or operation.10.1.2 Component OEM manuals may remain in the style,

24、format, arrangement, and medium (paper, PDF, etc.) providedby the component OEM. They may cover such topics as: setup,installation, adjustment, operation, repair, overhaul, other au-thorized maintenance, and parts ordering.11. Aircraft OEMs Statement of Compliance11.1 Each aircraft shall include a s

25、tatement identifying theASTM or other applicable standards used in designing andmanufacturing the product.Acopy of the statement provided tothe Civil Aviation Authority is acceptable.12. Product Registration Information12.1 The aircraft OEM shall provide any product registra-tion requirements for it

26、ems not already registered by theaircraft OEM. The information transferred should define howthe first end-user registers a component OEM product such asthe engine, propeller, primary flight displays, autopilot, GPS,and navigational radios.13. Aircraft Records13.1 The aircraft OEM shall provide all a

27、ircraft records.NOTE 1Requirements for aircraft records are typically dictated by acombination of ASTM standards requirements and applicable CivilAviation Authority (CAA) requirements. This generally includes suchthings as airframe logs, engine logs, airworthiness certificates, operatinglimitations,

Aircraft Flight Training Supplement (FTS)14.1 Any airplane with special flight training requirementsshall have a Flight Training Supplement (FTS) that complieswith Specification F2245.NOTE 2Some Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA) may require an FTS.15. Airplane Kit Assembly Instructions (KAI)

29、15.1 Each kit-built airplane shall have a Kit AssemblyInstructions (KAI) provided that complies with Practice F2563.16.
