Scope1.1 This practice applies to operations of amusement rail-way ride(s) that have a track gauge greater than or equal to 12in. (305

Thisexcludes patron powered ride vehicles specifically designed forchildren.1.2 This standard does not apply to the operation of rides,such as roller coasters, that may resemble railways, but mayfall within the scope of Practice F2291 or Practice F1159 an

Significance and Use4.1 4.1 The purpose of this practice is to delineate informa-tion and to establish procedures for the operation of anAmusement Railway Ride.4.2 The user of this standard shall be required to r

11、eview andcomply with the referenced “core” ASTM Committee F24standards in Section 2.1 of this standard. Modified or alternaterequirements to those standards may be required in thisstandard.5. This procedure shall incorporate amethod to communicate changes in the prescribed speed rangefor each area, section, or block of track based on changes intrack condition, weather, visibility restrictions, or other factorsthat may influence

17、the prescribed speed range. The speed rangemay be automatically or manually controlled.5.1.1.2 Multiple Train OperationsEstablish a procedureso each operator of an amusement railway ride maintainsadequate spacing between other amusement railway vehicles/trains operating on the same track.5.1.1.3 Col

18、lision avoidance between trains and other on oroff track equipment, objects, or persons on or near thetrackEstablish a procedure so each operator of an amusementrailway vehicle/train is aware of other equipment, objects, orpersons that may be adjacent to the patron clearance envelopeduring the opera

19、tion of an amusement railway ride.APPENDIX(Nonmandatory Information)X1. OPERATIONSX1.1 Subsection 5.1.1.1This procedure may use a timeand distance method, speed measuring devices, or other meansto determine approximate speeds.X1.2 Subsection 5.1.1.2This procedure may use any, or acombination of, man

20、ual or automated signaling devices, amethod of communication between operators, timetables/trackwarrants/train orders, or other means to avoid unintendedcollisions between trains.X1.3 Subsection 5.1.1.3This procedure may prohibitoperations, restrict operations, require the use of additionalpersonnel
