Scope*1.1 This specification covers metric outside diameter poly-ethylene (PE) pipe made from polyethylene compound thatqualifies

3、 for MRS, HDB and HDS ratings and for PE100 andPE4710 designations. Included are requirements for polyeth-ylene compound, workmanship, dimensions, short-term stressand ductility, long-term stress, marking, quality assurance andverification of joining.1.1.1 Polyethylene pipe in accordance with this s

4、pecifica-tion is intended to be compatible with nominal diameters andnominal pressures in accordance with ISO 161-1 and wallthickness in accordance with ISO 4065.1.2 Pipes produced under this specification are intended forthe pressure or non-pressure conveyance of liquid or gaseousmedia. Pipe Classification4.1 GeneralThis specification covers 32 mm through2500 mm metric outside diameter polyethylene pipe havingwall thickness in accordance with s

42、tandard dimension ratios(DR 33 through DR 7.4) and nominal pressures in bar for waterat 20C (PN5 through PN25).4.2 Pipe manufacturing and verification of compliance withthe requirements of this standard are in accordance with awritten quality assurance program that specifies policies andprocedures f

43、or manufacturing, frequency of inspection, sam-pling and testing of materials and products, and policies andprocedures for documenting compliance with the requirementsof this specification.5. Polyethylene Compound and Requirements5.1 Polyethylene CompoundPolyethylene compound forthe manufacture of p
