12、mmunications Industry Solutions Approved May 18, 2010 Abstract This recommended practice provides a common methodology for describing Transport Stream conformance criteria. It explicitly describes the elements and parameters that should be verified in an ATIS IIF-compliant Transport Stream for it to

ATIS-0800040 ii FOREWORD The Alliance for Telecommunication Industry Solutions (ATIS) serves the public through improved understanding between carriers, custome

14、rs, and manufacturers. The IPTV Interoperability Forum (IIF) develops requirements, standards, and specifications that will determine the industrys end-to-end solution for Internet Protocol Television (IPTV). The mandatory requirements are designated by the word shall and recommendations by the word

Where both a mandatory requirement and a recommendation are specified for the same criterion, the recommendation represents a goal currently identifiable as having distinct compatibility or performance advantages. The word may denotes a optional capability that could augment the standard. T

Successful tuning and display of programs can be enabled if this Transport Stream adheres to the appropriate standards. This standard uses terms and acronyms defined in ISO/IEC 13

22、818-1 1, ATIS-0800013 2, SCTE-54 3 ATSC A/53 Part 3 4, and ATSC A/65 5, and assumes a fair degree of familiarity with MPEG-2 systems as implemented per the ATIS IIF standards. Readers that do not recognize the terms should refer to A/54A 6, A/69 7, SCTE-142 8, and ATIS-0800013. This standard identif

However, since ATIS-0800013 2 constrains each transport stream to be a Single Program Transport Stream (i.e., carry only one MPEG-2 program), only TOA applies, and POA does not apply to this ATIS standard. 1.1 Scope This recommended practice provid

This document explicitly describes the elements and parameters that should be verified in an ATIS IIF-compliant Transport Stream for it to be considered a proper emission. It does not cover captioning or elementary streams

27、. While the relevant standards define strict limits for each parameter, in practice, the severity of the error may depend upon the magnitude of the deviation. This document recommends severity levels associated with the ranges of deviation from the standard in these parameters. ATIS-0800040 2 This s
