The have been developed through continuing consultation among manufacturers, users and national engineering societies and have resulted

3、in improved serviceability of our products with economies to manufacturers and users. One of the primary purposes of this RWMA standard is to encourage the production of reliable Resistance Welding equipment which, in itself, functions in accordance with this standards. Some portions of this standar

4、d, such as spacings, interrupting ratings and application specific sensing circuits, have a direct bearing on safety: almost all of the items in this standard, when applied properly, contribute to safety in one way or another. Properly constructed Resistance Welding equipment is, however, only one f

5、actor in minimizing the hazards which may be associated with the use of electrical and mechanical equipment. The reduction of hazard involves the joint efforts of the various equipment manufacturers, the system designer, the installer and the user. Information is provided herein to assist users and

6、others in the proper selection of control equipment. This publication is dedicated in the memory of John Hurley. John did not survive to see the completion of this standard, however, he strongly supported the effort in the early stages and was able to guide all of us in the right direction. Disclaim

For BUL 5-004.80 .o1 .o2 .O3 .O4 .O5 .O6 .O7 ENCLOSURES FOR TIMER COMBINATIONS (See Fig. 1) Type of Enclosure - NEMA Type 1 , 4, 12 or appropriate for end use shall be provided. Combination units shall be mechanically

28、 joined and electrically interconnected. See figure 1 for general types of cabinets. Location of Adjustments - Obsolete, will be removed with next revision. Securing Means - Parts of enclosures such as doors, covers, tanks, etc., shall be provided with means for firmly securing them in place. Doors

29、and access panels shall have provisions for locking or shall be interlocked. A door or access panel shall be considered locked if a key, wrench or other instrument is required to open it. Doors shall swing a minimum of 90 degrees. All parts of door fasteners shall remain captive when the door is ope

30、ned. Cabinet doors with circuit breakers are be interlocked with a flange mounted or rotary operator. Refer to Safety Section 15.63 of this specification. Multiple door cabinets must be electrically or mechanically interlocked to the main door. Water Connections - A minimum of 3/8 NPT female pipe fi

31、ttings or hose barbs shall be provided for water connections to contactors of up to 2500A. Water fittings shall be of conductive, noncorrosive material. Space for bulkhead water connections shall. be provided near the bottom of the cabinet below any active power components. Bulkhead Water connection

32、s shall be conductive and non-corrosive, electrically and mechanically bonded to the cabinet.
