7、oreword This British Standard forms one of a series relating to tubular-framed equipment for hospitals. This revision uses the metric system of measurement and provides only one basic screen in the interest of simplification and economic buying. The recommendations on which this British Standard was
8、 originally based formed part of a comprehensive report on the screening of hospital patients. The sections of the report relating to other forms of screening, such as curtains and fixed or folding partitions, were considered inappropriate as a basis for detailed specifications, but it was thought t
9、hat the report as a whole might be of assistance in the planning of hospital wards, and it was decided to publish it in the form of a guide. It was accordingly issued as BS1805 “Notes on methods of screening hospital patients”. In view of the wide variety of materials and types of curtaining now ava

Wherever possible this should conform to the performance requirements of flameproof materials as defined in BS3120 “Performance requirements of flameproof materials for clothing and other purposes”. The finish on the test panel shall withstand bending over a12mm diameter mandrel without cracking or loss of adhesion when tested by the method described in BS3900-E1. 5.3.2 S
24、cratch resistance. The finish on the test panel shall not be penetrated when tested in accordance with BS3900-E2 using a needle load of3000g. 5.3.3 Impact resistance. The finish of the test panel shall not rupture when tested in accordance with BS3900-E3. 5.3.4 Resistance to cupping effects. The fin
