To meet continuing market needs, annex A gives dimensions of wrenches for unified inch sizes. Consideration has been

Where possible those used for metric wrenches have been adopted for unified inch series wrenches thereby reducing the overall number of blanks required to cover the complete range in this standard. Apart from the nominal AF siz

The material used for the manufacture of wrenches is not specified but torque requirements are specified to ensure a minimum level of performance. 48、l to the nominal dimension in tables 2 and A.2, but with a tolerance of h8 (see BS EN 20286-2). The mandrel is hardened to 55 HRC min. C.2 Procedure Fully engage the wrench on the test mandrel, as illustrated in figure C.1. Apply a gradually increasing force until the minimum test torque is reached,

49、 see tables 2 and A.2. NOTE.1. The torque is calculated as the product of the magnitude of the load by the distance measured between the point of application of the load and the centre of the test mandrel. NOTE.2. A device in which the mandrel can be rotated at the chosen torque (see tables 2 and A.2), determined with an accuracy of 2.5 %, may also be used for this test.
