The tube shall be20mm minimum diameter for the1360 litre size and25mm minimum diameter for the3400 litre and6 800 litre sizes. Steel plate shall comply with the requirements of BS1449-

18、1, grade CR for semi-bright finish. 3.3 All joints in the framework shall be welded. Welding shall comply with the requirements of BS693 or BS5135, as applicable, and it shall be neatly executed. There shall be no sharp edges, or crevices that may harbour dirt or foreign matter. 3.4 The main framewo

Support for the cylinder shall be provided near the top and the bottom of the trolley by U-shaped stays welded to the uprights. The framework shall be rigidly supported

20、on the axle. The upper portion of the framework of the6 800 litre trolley shall be strengthened by a transverse tie bar across the handle portion. The thickness of the base plate shall be3mm on the1360 litre size and5mm for the3400 litre and6 800 litre sizes of trolley. The cylinder shall rest in th

There shall be adequate clearance between the cylinder and support stays to facilitate withdrawal of the cylinder. 3.5 Fixing straps of steel or stainless steel25mm by6mm nominal section shall be provided to retain the cylinder in the trolley, each strap being pivoted at

22、 one end and secured by a captive locking device at the other. The attachment studs shall be10mm diameter for all sizes of cylinder. There shall be no easily detachable fittings. 4 Antistatic requirements 4.1 The trolley shall be so constructed that there is permanent conductivity between the trolle

The maximum limit of electrical resistance shall be10M7 when tested in accordance with BS 2050. 4.3 The wheels and tyres shall be clearly marked with yellow, similar to1

24、0E 53, as specified in BS4800, to indicate that they are antistatic. 5 Overall heights The overall heights of the trolleys shall be not less than850mm nor more than1 150mm. 6 Wheels 6.1 The wheels for the smallest trolley shall be a minimum of100mm diameter with a width of tyre not less than19mm and

25、, for the two larger sizes,225mm minimum diameter with a width of tyre not less than25mm. The ends of the axle shall be guarded to minimize the risk of possible damage to the building fabric. 6.2 All wheel bearings shall be self-lubricating. 6.3 When loaded with a full cylinder of maximum size, the

26、axle shall be of sufficient strength to support the weight of the trolley and be capable of withstanding a vertical drop of100mm without permanent deformation. 6.4 The axles shall be so placed that, when the trolley is at rest, the wheels are raised not less than1mm nor more than3mm off the floor. 7

27、 Buffers Each cylinder support shall be fitted with at least two anti-static buffers to prevent the cylinder from rattling. 8 Buffering Energy-absorbing buffering shall be fitted to the trolley in order to protect the fabric of the building from damage by the leading edge of the base plate.
