It has accordingly been felt that it would be desirable to provide a standard range of crinkle washers before too many variations become establis

18、erances and general requirements for a range of beryllium copper crinkle washers suitable for use with screwed fasteners in sizes from0.060in (American No.0) to 3 / 4in(1.5mm to19mm) nominal diameter. 2 Nomenclature For the purpose of this BritishStandard, the washers shall be known as “Beryllium co
19、pper crinkle washers”. 3 Material The material used for the manufacture of these washers shall be such that after suitable heat treatment the products, when tested in accordance with the provisions of BS427, “Vickers hardness test”, have a hardness of350 to380H.V. 1)and are capable of meeting the te
20、st requirements specified in Clause7. This material shall be in accordance with the requirements for CB.101 beryllium copper as specified in BS2870, “Rolled copper and copper alloy sheet, strip and foil”. 4 Finish Beryllium copper crinkle washers complying with this BritishStandard shall be of self-
21、colour finish. NOTEIf washers are required to have any other specified finish, e.g.cadmium plating, this shall be agreed between purchaser and manufacturer. 5 Freedom from defects The surfaces of the washers shall be clean, smooth and free from scale or harmful defects. 6 Dimensions The dimensions o
22、f the finished washers in the unplated condition shall be in accordance with Table 1. 7 Closing and test for permanent set Sample washers shall be selected from batches in accordance with Clause8. The samples shall be completely closed; on release of the pressure the overall height of each washer sh

This application and removal of pressure shall then be repeated twenty times in quick succession, after which its overall height shall not have been reduced to less than1.8times its sectional thickness. 8 Sampling procedure a) Definition of a batch
24、. For the purposes of this standard a batch shall consist of a number of washers of the same size made from material of the same strip (or cast). b) Sample and number of tests. For the test specified in Clause7, five washers shall be selected from a batch and if there are no failures in this sample
25、the batch shall be deemed to comply with the requirements of this standard. Should any specimen in this sample fail to meet the test, a further sample of five washers shall be selected from the batch which shall be deemed to comply with the requirements of this standard if there is one failure in th
