In this revision account is taken of the range of sizes of drawing boards as specified in BS6381, but the fully adjustable free-standing stands are no longe
7、r required to accommodate boards designated2A0 because of the relatively small demand for these boards and because their safe and adequate support during use requires special measures beyond the design of the stands specified in this standard. In this revision, the requirements for bench-mounted sta

This will be indicated in the amendment table on the inside front cover.BS3459:1985 BSI 12-1999 1 1 Scope This British Standard specifies dimensional and functional requirements for the following types of stands for drawing boards: a) bench-mounted stands;
11、 b) simple free-standing stands; c) fully adjustable free-standing stands. NOTEThe titles of the publications referred to in this standard are listed on the inside back cover. 2 Definitions For the purposes of this BritishStandard, the following definitions apply. 2.1 bench-mounted stand a drawing b

On this
13、 type of stand the height adjustment lock is used infrequently and therefore need not be so readily accessible as on fully adjustable free-standing stands. A counterbalancing device may be provided 2.3 fully adjustable free-standing stand a drawing board stand that is complete in itself with counter
