For anaesthetists use a chair is sometimes preferred to a stool and the standard includes requirements to enable the stool base to be built up

8、into a chair, but it was not thought necessary to specifically design the chair. The stools are used by surgeons and anaesthetists in operating theatres. Rubber feet, if fitted, should be anti-static, but all-metal feet may be supplied if the purchaser requires them. Information relating to the reco

9、mmended limits of electrical resistance and methods for testing of rubber furniture feet and pads is given in BS2050. In view of the known tendency for the electrical resistance of anti-static rubber to increase under service conditions, it is recommended that anti-static rubber feet and seat pads s

10、hould be tested at three-monthly intervals to ensure that the resistance complies with that stated in BS2050. It has been established that for long-term efficiency and economy, stainless steel tube should be used in the construction of these stools and chairs as the first cost is well offset by thes
