It is identical with ISO8526:1990 “Modular units for machine tools Workholding pallets Part1: Workholding pallets up to800mm nominal size”. The Technical Committee has reviewed the p

A related British Standard to ISO299 is BS2485:1987 “Specification for tee slots, tee bolts, tee nuts and tenons”. A related BritishS
11、tandard to ISO1101 is BS308 “Engineering drawing practice” Part3:1972 “Geometrical tolerancing”. The introduction to ISO8526-1 reads as follows. “This part of ISO8526 has been drawn up to facilitate interchangeability of workholding pallets, including those from different manufacturers. It deals wit
12、h square pallets and rectangular pallets of length-to-width ratio of1,25 and of nominal size up to800mm. If pallets with tighter tolerances than specified in this part of ISO8526 are required, they shall be subject to agreement between the manufacturer and user. This part of ISO8526 does not specify
13、 the positioning accuracy of the pallets.” A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct application. Compliance with a British Standard does not of itself confer immunity from legal obligations
