9、rd This Part of BS3884 has been prepared under the direction of the Machine, Engineers and Hand Tools Standards Policy Committee and implements agreements of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It is identical with ISO8526 “Modular units for machine tools Workholding pallets ”

10、Part 2:1990 “Workholding pallets of nominal size greater than800mm”. The Technical Committee has reviewed the provisions of ISO299:1987 and ISO1101:1983, to which reference is made in the text, and has decided that they are acceptable for use in conjunction with this standard. A related British Stan

11、dard to ISO299 is BS2485:1987 “Specification for tee slots, tee bolts, tee nuts and tenons”. A related British Standard to ISO1101 is BS308 “Engineering drawing practice” Part 3:1972 “Geometrical tolerancing”. The introduction to ISO8526-2 reads as follows. “This part of ISO8526 has been drawn up to

12、 facilitate interchangeability of workholding pallets, including those from different manufacturers. It deals with square pallets and rectangular pallets of length-to-width ratio of1,25and of nominal size greater than800mm. If pallets with tighter tolerances than specified in this part of ISO8526 ar

13、e required, they shall be subject to agreement between the manufacturer and the user. This part of ISO8526 does not specify the positioning accuracy of the pallets.” A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are responsible

14、for their correct application. Compliance with a British Standard does not of itself confer immunity from legal obligations. When d 6is used

Headed plugs may be inserted in exposed holes to prevent the ingress of swarf, in which case the recess dimensions may be

Therefore such dimensions are left to agreement between purchaser and manufacturer. h AP and GP dimensions are alternative va
