6、 BSI 10-1999 Foreword This British Standard is one of a series for textiles of a quality suitable for aerospace purposes and constitutes a revision of BS 2F116:1975, which is withdrawn. It differs from the previous edition in that the quality requirements specified in the latest edition of BS F100 h

7、ave been identified. NOTEThe latest revision of an Aerospace Series standard is indicated by a prefix number. This standard specifies pentachlorophenyl laurate (PCPL) as a rot-proofing treatment. Alternative treatments are under development, and this standard will be updated to delete PCPL as soon a

8、s a suitable alternative treatment for aerospace materials is available. WARNING. This standard calls for the use of substances and/or test procedures that may be injurious to health if adequate precautions are not taken. It refers only to technical suitability and in no way absolves either the supp

This will be indicated in the amendment table on the inside front cover.BS3F116:1995 BSI 10-1999 1 1 Scope This British Standard specifies requirements for a range of mercerized cotton fabrics for aerospace purposes, primarily for parachute canopies. 2 References This standard incorporates,

12、by dated or undated reference, provisions from other publications. These normative references are made at the appropriate places in the text and the cited publications are listed on the inside back cover. For dated references, only the edition cited applies; any subsequent amendments to or revisions

For undated references, the latest edition of the cited publication applies, together with any amendments. 3 General In addition to the requirements specified in clauses4 to10 of this s

14、tandard, the requirements and tests of BS F100, as listed in Table 1, shall apply. 4 Yarn 4.1 The fabric shall be manufactured from unsized cotton yarn. 4.2 The yarn shall be two-fold and shall be mercerized. NOTEYarn plied from singles of104 dtex has been found suitable for both warp and weft. 5 We

15、ave The weave shall be plain. 6 Finish The fabric, or the yarns from which it is to be woven, shall be rendered rot-resistant by treatment with pentachlorophenyl laurate (PCPL) in accordance with BS2087-1:1992, normal process. 7 Construction and properties The finished fabric shall conform to Table

It shall be made up in continuous pieces without joins, rolled tightly and free from creases. 10 Identification The following information, supplied by the purchaser to identify the fabric for ordering purposes, shall be fully documented: a) the number of thi
