Higher proof load values have been allocated to the revisedproperty classes in BS EN ISO 898-2 in order to ensure that fracture of the boltgenerally occurs in the case of overloading.CAUTION. Nuts in accordance with this standard canno

22、014This page deliberately left blankiv null The British Standards Institution 20141 ScopeThis standard gives the general dimensions and tolerances of black hexagonbolts, screws and nuts with ISO metric threads in diameters from 5 mm to68 mm inclusive; basic dimensions for sizes greater than M68 are

23、also included. This standard specifies mechanical properties of black hexagon bolts, screws andnuts made of carbon steel and alloy steel when tested at an ambienttemperature range of 10 C to 35 C. Dimensional requirements are included forbolts, screws and nuts finished black all over and for those wh

They might not retain the specified mechanical andphysical properties at eleva

The use of fasteners in applications

26、outside of this range, and up to a maximum temperature of +300 C, might need tobe based on the advice of an experienced fastener metallurgist for determiningappropriate choices for a given application.NOTE 3 Nuts in accordance with this standard cannot be fully loaded with sufficientassurance up to

Theterm implies the comparatively wider tolerances to which these prod
