11、ntiometric method for determination of the chloride content of condensed phosphates for industrial use. It is applicable to products having chloride contents of not less than5mg/kg. 2 Principle The principle is described in clause3 of BS6337-4:1984. 3 Reagents The reagents described in clause4 of BS
12、6337-4:1984 and water complying with grade3 of BS3978 are required. 4 Apparatus 4.1 General. The apparatus described in clause5 of BS6337-4:1984 together with the following are required. 4.2 One-mark volumetric flask. 100mL, complying with classB of BS1792. 5 Procedure 5.1 Test portion and preparati

Add about75mL of water to the test portion and swirl. Once dissolv

Dilute to the mark with water and mix. 5.2 Determination Determine the chloride content of the test solution by following the procedure described in clause6 of BS6337-4:1984, using an appropriate aliquot portion of the
15、test solution depending on the expected chloride ion content, and ensuring that the test solution is acidified by the addition of2mL of the nitric acid (see6.2.2 of BS6337-4:1984). 6 Calculation and expression of results Calculate the mass of chloride, expressed as chlorine, (Cl), in g, in the test
