User trials by hospital and fire brigade s

10、taffs have encouraged the adoption of a specification for non-traditional constructions. This is the first part of a three part standard which deals with: Part 1: Nonwoven sew-in interlinings; Part 2: Nonwoven fusible interlinings; (in preparation) Part 3: Woven fusible interlinings. (in preparation

11、) It is intended that the fabrics in this specification should be used in conjunction with the outer cloths inBS1771, “Outdoor uniform cloths for fire service, local authority and hospital staffs”. 14、r uniform clothing, for large users such as Government departments, fire services, hospitals and local authorities. Technical requirements are tabulated inTable 1; the materials are listed in Clause4 according to the garments for which they are recommended. NOTEThe titles of the British Standards re

15、ferred to in this standard are listed on the inside back cover. 2 Technical requirements When tested by the methods indicated in the second column ofTable 1, the mass per unit area, bursting strength, crease recovery, change in stiffness, dimensional change on cold water immersion and dry cleaning r

16、equirements shall be as specified in the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh columns ofTable 1. Two methods of test for dry cleaning (including steam finishing) are available. The laboratory procedure is intended primarily for screening and control testing and, in case of dispute, the machine procedure

17、 shall be used. For purposes of general comparison in respect of handle not specified in this British Standard, agreement shall be reached between the purchaser and the manufacturer. 3 Marking Each interlining in the finished state shall be identified with the British Standard reference number, eith

18、er by stamping or by labelling the tag end of the piece. NOTEAttention is drawn to certification facilities offered by BSI.
