7、l testing for fertilizers. For some years the United Kingdom has participated in the standardization of methods of sampling fertilizers through Subcommittee2, Sampling, of Technical Committee134, Fertilizers and soil conditioners, of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). As inter

8、national agreement is reached on the methods, it is proposed to publish them as Sections of BS5551. The standard is to be published in four Parts, each Part being subdivided into Sections and, where appropriate, Subsections. The four Parts are: Part 1: Terminology and labelling; Part 2: Sampling; Pa

9、rt 3: Physical properties; Part 4: Chemical analysis. This Section of Part2 is identical with ISO7410:1983 “Fertilizers and soil conditioners Final samples Practical arrangements”. Terminology and conventions. The text of the International Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as a

10、British Standard without deviation. Some terminology and certain conventions are not identical with those used in British Standards; attention is drawn especially to the following. Wherever the words “International Standard” appear, referring to this standard, they should be read as “British Standar

11、d”. Cross-reference. ISO5306, referred to in clause6, is in course of preparation. When published, it is expected that it will be implemented as an identical Section of BS5551. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are r

12、esponsible for their correct application. Compliance with a British Standard does not of itself confer immunity from legal obligations. 14、gal requirements in the countries concerned. If the information on the label referred to in clause6 is insufficient, a sampling report, as specified in ISO5306, should accompany the sample. 1 Scope and field of application This International Standard establishes practical arrangements relating to fi

15、nal samples 1)of solid fertilizers and soil conditioners. 2 Reference ISO 5306, Fertilizers Sampling report 2) . 3 Handling of samples and division into several final samples Instructions for the handling of samples, and for their division into several final samples, will form the subject of a futur

16、e International Standard. 4 Containers Appropriate containers, which shall be clean, dry and impervious to moisture, shall be made of glass and/or plastics materials, or any other inert material of adequate resistance, capable of maintaining the sample in its original condition; the containers shall

17、 be fitted with airtight closures. 5 Sealing of containers Each container shall be secured and sealed in such a manner that it can be opened only by breaking the seal; otherwise, the container shall be placed in a sealed, robust package in such a manner that no part of the sample can be removed with

18、out breaking the seal of the package; the label (see clause6) shall be incorporated in the seal. 6 Labelling of final samples Each final sample shall be labelled in an identical manner. The label attached to each final sample shall be adequately secured and sealed to prevent its loss; it shall carry

19、 at least the following information: a) final sample number or other distinguishing mark; b) name of the material and its nominal composition; c) manufacturers reference and batch number (if available); d) date of sampling; e) place of sampling; f) signature and name of the sampler; g) signature and

20、 name of the person or his representative on whose premises the sample was taken. NOTEFurther details of the information required concerning the sample are given in ISO5306. 7 Disposal of the final sample If it is necessary to submit the final sample to any person, the person performing sampling may

21、 either deliver it by hand or send it by any other appropriate method, provided that the containers are suitably protected against accidental damage and all appropriate precautions are taken for the storage of the sample. 8 Storage of final samples All final samples shall be stored under conditions
